If you're dealing with trauma, anxiety, grief, or the effects of narcissistic abuse, you're not alone. Sarah (name changed for confidentiality) came to me feeling overwhelmed by past pain and confusion. Together, we uncovered the layers of her trauma, helping her understand her emotions and break free from the grip of the past. Today, Sarah is on a path of rebuilding her life—she's regained clarity and found the peace she thought was out of reach. Like Sarah, you too can break free from past pain, rebuild your life, and find a clearer, more balanced state of mind.

Right now, as you read this, you are likely not in a good place. You may be feeling distressed and hopeless or overwhelmed. This may have been going on for a long time and you may have tried to cope in different ways - but it's no longer working? You have tried talking to friends and family but that isn't working either? Maybe there are things that happened a long time ago in your childhood and this is still affecting you today - therapy can be a place to begin to look at all of this and can be the start of beginning to feel better and with improving self-esteem.

When it comes to therapy, the process can be life changing or sometimes just very necessary. When clients need to confront issues or make changes, this can be daunting, overwhelming or even confusing. My role as a therapist is not to judge you or tell you what to do; instead I aim to help you see your situation more clearly and guide you towards your own innate wisdom. The clients I work with are ready to embark on this inner journey of transformation gaining better self-awareness, improved self-acceptance and greater authenticity.

People often find counselling useful when they are struggling to make sense of difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences they are encountering. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space in which an individual can explore their life in their own personal way, as a means of finding deeper understanding; balance and to strengthen their resolve. Whilst being a counsellor I have experience working within the Ministry Of Justice for 19+ years delivering Therapeutic Groups for both men and women who have entered the Criminal Justice System.

People often come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or work stress that builds over time. Sometimes it's a specific event, other times it's a gradual sense that something isn't right. My approach is warm and collaborative. Therapy offers a space to think together about what you are experiencing and the patterns shaping how you feel about yourself and your relationships. Trauma and attachment often sit beneath the difficulties people bring, and part of the work may involve exploring how earlier experiences have shaped you.

You're here because something needs to shift. You've done the work, read the books, listened to the podcasts, maybe tried therapy before, and yet familiar patterns keep returning. You want a space that takes you seriously, moves at depth, and doesn't shy away from what's really going on. My work is integrative, soul-centred, and direct. I bring therapeutic depth alongside a willingness to name what I'm noticing, gently but honestly. Sessions are a place to slow down, get underneath the surface, and build the kind of clarity and confidence that holds up in real life.

You may appear to be coping well on the outside — managing work, family, and responsibilities — yet inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or quietly dissatisfied. Many people seek therapy when what once worked no longer does, particularly during midlife or periods of change. You might be questioning your direction, struggling with stress or low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others despite outward success. Perhaps you’re tired of “pushing through” and want space to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. I offer a calm, confidential space where we can explore what feels stuck and unprocessed.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
