A qualified psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor, I am a member of UK Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKCP) and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I have Diplomas in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Counselling.
With experience in supporting people through loss and bereavement both in private practice and as part of the bereavement counselling team at a leading London Hospice, I am interested in making room to process loss and how it shapes our stories, particularly the losses we may have experienced in childhood.

For over twenty years, I have helped individuals successfully navigate life's heaviest challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth. As a holistic therapist, your goals and feelings guide our work. I combine direct talking therapy with mindfulness practices to help you build a calm, resilient inner space. Together, we use creative tools like art, stories, or dream exploration to understand deep-seated emotions, alongside body-centered awareness to release physical stress and trauma.

I work with Neuro diverse needs, transpersonal and spiritual experience, geek culture symbolism and men's mental health issues amongst others.
The ideal condition to start therapy is simply the awareness that something is wrong or out of balance in ourselves, that things aren't working out how we feel they should or we are blocked in some way from living the life we want or need. We get as much from counselling as we are prepared to put in, and we need the resolve to start on a journey of self discovery and healing that will lead through some difficult places in ourselves. But like the heroes of countless stories we learn how to walk this path by travelling on it, and what we can gain in self realisation and self acceptance is worth the difficulties we may encounter.

Often, the reasons given to me for arriving to therapy are feature one or more of the following: anxiety, depression, sadness, self confidence, life changing illnesses, self identity, early childhood, past or present relationships, bereavements, traumatic experiences, injury and mental health diagnosis. How these issues and difficult feelings manifest in people's lives are unique and so 'reasons' may be identified as problems or difficulties with: addictions; work; intimate or family relationships; children and parenting; personal or spiritual identity, or something existential. Therapy offers to solute and salve these issues.

My ideal client may have experienced trauma — something that touches most of us in different ways. I believe we learn and grow not only from our successes but also from our pain. Many clients come to me feeling the weight of post-traumatic stress; together, we work toward post-traumatic growth. While trauma is a common thread, I work with a wide range of presenting issues. My approach is to focus on the person, not just the problem, creating space for understanding, healing, and change.

My approach draws upon humanistic, psychodynamic, embodied, transpersonal, dialogical gestalt and intersubjective approaches with you, the client, always at the centre.
Collapse-Aware, Decolonizing Psychotherapy. Working outdoors and/or in a cosy cabin in the town centre. Bearing witness to the collapse of multiple systems, more of us grow increasingly estranged from the values of capitalism. Watching the legacy of colonialism play out before us on the world stage while living with it inscribed on our bodies can push us to the edge of despair. Psychotherapy in this time and place calls for Radical Hope. Audre Lourde said "The masters tools will never dismantle the masters house.". Decolonizing psychotherapy acknowledges the past, centres us in the present and actively constructs the future.

We don't lose ourselves all at once. We become who we need to be over time- to preserve relationships, belong or simply survive. Years later, we find ourselves anxious, disconnected, struggling with intimacy, repeating the same relationship patterns or no longer recognising ourselves. I believe these are intelligent adaptations, not personal flaws. Therapy isn't about becoming someone new. It's about understanding what you've had to leave behind- and creating relationships where you no longer have to abandon yourself.

Ultimately, good therapy should make change: reactions, behaviours, difficult aspects of self, attitudes/beliefs about yourself or how you carry your story. I love work to with clients who are prepared to jump in, take risks and be proactive - this is the way to ensure real change. I jump in too, working with body and mind in a practical, energetic way. I view the best wisdom as something that can directly be applied to life. A supervisee described me as "real, relational, practical and not floaty/wispy". I like to incorporate psychoeducation and relevant theoretical information. I don't sit on my hands or allow unhelpful silences.

Hello and welcome to my page. I recognise the courage it takes to approach a therapist and would like to help you. Over ten years of practising, therapy has shown me time and time again how people can overcome their problems successfully and live fulfilled and happy lives. In today's pressured world, mental health problems are all too common. Maybe you're struggling with depression or stress or the problem is anxiety, or trauma, or grief. Perhaps you're struggling with a habit that started off as a pleasure but turned into an addiction over lockdown. Whatever the mental health problem, talking therapy can help.

Hello fellow travellers, my name is Jacqui. I want this to reach people who are travelling through life feeling lost and alone. People who are sick and tired of their same old story that no longer serves them. People who keep trying to convince themselves that if they just erase the old story, or write a different one with new characters, then hopefully the old story will fade away. But instead, those old, rickety pages are far too comfortable and familiar, and before you know it you find yourself travelling through them again, heading toward the same ending.

I believe therapy is about much more than managing symptoms. It's about understanding yourself more deeply. Together, we can tackle your present challenges with curiosity, compassion and respect for your uniqueness. You don't have to figure it out on your own. Sometimes simply having a space where you don't have to hold it all together can be the beginning of a meaningful change. Whatever the change or issue you're facing right now, I invite you to take this opportunity to slow down, reflect and reset. Together, we can find the best way forward.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
