It can seem like the hardest thing to do to access counselling, but it can be life changing if you take that first step. You may not be entirely clear on what you want but just have a feeling that things don't feel right and you have decided that you want to understand what, why and how to refocus and live the life you feel is best for you. Or perhaps you are very aware of a struggle with difficulties, which may already be formally diagnosed by another professional, and you want to regain some control instead of feeling that these issues take over. I can support people in achieving their goals wherever they are in their journey.

Life can often feel like a rollercoaster—fast, overwhelming, and hard to predict. It’s easy to lose sight of what you need or where to turn next. I help clients slow down, find clarity, and reconnect with themselves so they can step off the ride, take a deep breath, and move forward with greater confidence. I believe the heart of effective therapy lies in a strong, trusting relationship. I take great care in building that connection from our very first meeting. Many of my clients share that they feel both reassured and motivated after our initial session, like they've finally found a space where they can finally breathe out...

For the past 25 years I have worked as a counsellor / psychotherapist. I also offer supervision to qualified and trainee therapists. Over the years I have gained a broad range of experience working with people from all walks of life, and from many cultures resulting in a good understanding of the requirements of both private individuals and corporate clients. My client base is broad and includes everyone from factory workers to professional footballers and actors. I feel it is important that a therapist can relate to their clients and this is something I excel at.

I have worked with a variety of clients across many different sectors. My therapeutic approach can help with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges or simply a desire to better understand yourself. Many clients find it a deeply rewarding process that fosters greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and emotional wellbeing. Over many years I have developed a particular specialist interest in working with bereavement, trauma and loss. Clients experiencing trauma need support in processing deep and difficult thoughts and feelings in a safe space in order to start to feel better, which I am able to facilitate.

Every day, we juggle numerous hats—partner, parent, sibling, son/daughter, employee, leader—all while navigating the untold stories of strength, pain, and resilience. Behind the scenes, there lies our struggles with self-doubt, relationships, and the quiet ache of not feeling enough. Together, we can untangle what’s holding you back and reconnect with your authentic self. In this space, we’ll honour the complexity of your experience and work together to lighten the weight you carry, finding healing, clarity, and the freedom to live life on your own terms.

I offer person-centred counselling and hold the belief, that we have the answers to the troubles in our lives. These may have come from multiple causes which perhaps are not known. Through counselling you, your child or a loved one can explore emotions, feelings, experiences, life events and relationships. Talking can help unravel the concerns and problems you/they have, some of which make us question everything and feel life is out of our control. I am passionate about supporting others and the work I do. I strive to provide the space and environment needed, so you can get the most out of sessions, driven by yourself.

I understand that considering to approach someone to discuss private and intimate matters is not easy, but this can be life changing. Experiencing emotional difficulties that affect your moods and behaviour are more common than you think. This can significantly impact a wide range of aspects in your day-to-day life and relationships. Therapy is often an effective way to reach a better understanding of yourself and the causes of your emotional discomfort. It may also help you to find the best way forward to overcome challenges and move on to experience meaningful life improvements simultaneously alleviating pressures and stress.
