I mix approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and CFT with systemic ideas to give you practical tools that fit your life.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but it shouldn’t feel like another place where you have to "mask." In my practice, I help adults and young people who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, or adults managing chronic conditions like pain and diabetes.
People usually come to me when they’re simply ready for things to change. Together, we’ll look at the bigger picture to understand your patterns while building practical tools that actually work for your life. Whether you’re an adult looking for support or a parent seeking neuro-affirmative care for your child, I’m here to help you navigate it.

Hi, I’m Caroline (she/her). I’m a psychosexual and relationship therapist, and I trained as a pluralistic therapist, which means I don’t work from a single fixed model of what therapy “should” look like. Instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt them to you: your history, your circumstances, and what you actually need from our work together, rather than fitting you into a predetermined process. This tends to mean sessions feel less like following a script, and more like a genuine, evolving conversation.

My ideal clients feel like something is “off” in their relationship with food, even without a formal diagnosis — stuck in cycles of bingeing, restricting, guilt and shame. Many have ADHD or grew up with inconsistent, unpredictable caregiving, and food became the one thing that felt controllable or comforting. They’re tired of being told to “just have more willpower” and want to understand the pattern underneath. If that sounds like you, please know you’re not broken, and you don’t have to keep figuring this out alone — I’d love to hear your story.

Using Lifespan Integration, somatic work and ACT, we gently process past experiences so your nervous system can begin to register that the past is over.
You might look like you’re coping. Holding things together at work, in friendships or family life. But underneath, it can feel very different. You may feel stuck in patterns in relationships, caught in rumination or regret, or questioning yourself. There can be a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right, or that something about you is flawed. You might long for closeness but feel anxious or unsure how to trust it. Often, this connects back to earlier attachment wounds or emotional neglect, leaving you disconnected from yourself, unsure what you need, and tired of repeating the same patterns.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
