As a qualified Humanistic and Integrative counsellor, if you choose to work with me I will value your uniqueness, listen to you and witness your story without judgement. At times, we may all need to reach out and seek help in our life-journeys. We may need help to find out how we really feel and who we really are or would like to be, and feel more empowered. My charges range from £30 to £70 per session depending on individual financial circumstances.

My Jungian training broadens and deepens that base bringing in links between psyche and soma and imagery from dreams, myth and fairy tales.
Wondering what to do, unsure what or who can help. And how? Whatever is troubling you, whatever is getting you down you don't have to struggle alone. Talking to someone outside your circle of family, friends or even colleagues at work can be the start of a new path. A path where you can discover how you got to this place in your life. And perhaps more importantly what it is you are seeking.

I also bring in other forms of therapy, if we think helpful, such as compassion focused therapy, mindfulness and dream interpretation (Jungian).
We all are subject to emotions like low moods, worries and frustrations; it’s all part of being human, the brain we inherit and the effect of our environment. However, when these emotions turn chronic, exaggerated and persistent, we suffer from situations like depression, anxiety and anger, which impact on our lives and well-being. These emotions spill over, adversely affecting our goals and relationships at home and at work

From a Jungian perspective, therapy (analysis) begins with the understanding that every person (including you) is unique and has the potential to become fully “individual.
It is not at all unusual for any of us to experience a sense of anxiety or depression due to a life event that has caused us to feel “disconnected,” or simply “overwhelmed.” We might experience a bereavement or loss (a job, a relationship, a marriage); or issues may arise related to dating, getting married, or ageing and retirement. Alternatively, we might feel unable to be “ourselves,” or have the desire to nurture other aspects of our personality that seem underdeveloped: a lack of confidence to take risks and engage life, an ability to slow down, or an ability to be honest about our feelings with others. Psyhotherapy can help.

If you are like most people, you are probably considering therapy because you want to change something. This might be the way you feel or behave; it might be how you believe other people see you, or how you see yourself. It might be things you think about or dwell upon, or the way you get on (or don’t) with others. Whatever it is, individual therapy provides a space to talk about what it is you want to change and to learn how to bring that change about. A space that is safe, confidential and non-judgemental. As your therapist I see myself as someone who can support you on all aspects of your life journey.

Hi, and welcome to my profile. Whether you know exactly why you want therapy or your reasons feel vague but important, I'd like to help you get to the heart of the matter. I listen carefully and engage in a focused way to help you towards your goals, whether they be understanding, healing, growth, action or anything in-between. Your struggles are vital signs, like pain from the body, telling you that something needs attention. This might look like burnout, anxiety, depression, hopelessness, numbness, perfectionism, doing things you know cause more problems than they solve or just a chronic feeling of wanting more from life.

Therapy can help you unpack what is going on for you right now and how the past fits with that. Within the safe space of therapy, you are able to listen to those parts of yourself that have not been heard for a while, putting you in touch with all of you; and all of the wisdom that lies within. As you trust in the process more and more, healing begins.

Welcome to my page! My journey to Spiritual Psychotherapy and Soul Counselling began 30+ years ago during the extensive study of Yoga, Meditation, and Eastern Philosophy. This led me to become a yoga and meditation teacher in order to assist others to find their way back 'home' to wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Eventually I was led to a study of western psychology. I am confident that my experience in both fields of spirituality and psychology has given me a unique opportunity to be able to access the Soul layers of our psyche to facilitate deeper levels of integration, healing, insight, self-awareness, and self-empowerment.

It’s when you sense, or realise, that things can’t remain the same and yet you feel frozen, unable to act, and you don’t know what to do. A personal crisis might leave you feeling powerless and anxious. Then you find that the ways in which you generally deal with problems aren’t working: the people you’d usually turn to for support aren’t enough, they might be too involved with the issues you’re facing. You might also feel unwell. It’s not uncommon to feel anxious, depressed or emotionally fragile. This is when counselling can help. I offer Face to Face, Walk and Talk, Online and Telephone Counselling.

Jungian Counsellors

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
