If you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties or feeling stuck, therapy can help you to slow down and make sense of what you’re going through.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches to tailor the therapy to your individual needs. This might mean exploring past experiences, managing present anxiety, or simply having a space where you can express yourself freely. My approach is grounded in empathy, integrity, and a commitment to building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Hello and Welcome, Life can indeed be difficult at times. Many are struggling with mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings can rise to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a PHD(Hon), Master Degree and EMDR(Accredited), I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

If you are looking for couples therapy, or if you are seeking individual counselling with a focus on relationships (whether intimate, work or family) I can potentially help. I trained to MA level at a leading centre for relationship therapy, and I'm one of very few men working in the field. When working with couples, my aim is to enable better conversations, build understanding, so that both partners can be more content. With individuals, it's often about having a conversation with yourself, and to consider how you are in relation to others.

This experience is commonly known as death anxiety or thanatophobia.
I work with individuals in a collaborative way to help them make sense of these difficult thoughts and feelings. Whilst I don’t guarantee that these feelings will disappear completely, what I hope to do is help people to learn to manage them better and use many ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Existential Psychotherapy in order to do this.

Hi there, I'm Will, and whatever brings you here today – welcome, maybe I can help. I'm a BACP registered counsellor based in London Bridge, Crystal Palace and online, offering therapy to individuals and couples. I work in a way that is kind, thoughtful and imaginative. First and foremost, I listen deeply – to the content and the process. Over time, I seek to make connections between patterns in your day-to-day life, to patterns from your past, to patterns in the dynamic between us. The result is a growing space of awareness around these that, grounded in a supportive relationship, fosters clarity, meaning and positive change.

If you are feeling anxious, depressed or confused about your current situation, we will work collaboratively to gain further insight on how you are affected by this.
My work in mental health began contributing in setting up ‘culturally sensitive’ therapeutic services for individuals experiencing addictions with alcohol and substance mis-use. This included a service for women from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds. In summary I saw men and women from a range of cultural, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds.

I recognise that each individual is unique, drawing on experiences from various family backgrounds, cultures and relationships. Some individuals come with a goal in mind, others want to gain more insight about themselves. Some might feel stuck or feel frustrated or angry with what they are experiencing at present. Some might need support moving forward or to simply feel different/better. I have worked empathically and in a non-judgmental way, for over 20years. I am passionate about helping individuals reach their goals or self develop. I provide a safe and calm space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, issues & reflections.

I can provide support for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, bereavement, traumatic experiences, relationship difficulties, pregnancy, gender & sexuality, identity issues, performance anxiety, and career uncertainty.
Psychodynamic therapy is a deeper form of counselling. It is based on the idea that certain parts of our inner-selves can remain hidden in our unconscious. These hidden aspects have a profound impact on our feelings and behaviours — shaping our everyday lives and relationships with others.

My therapy room is based in Farnborough and I am able to offer support and relief from the overwhelming and anxious feelings that can leave a child or adolescent feeling vulnerable.
As children/adolescents do not usually talk openly about their difficulties, they will often communicate their feelings and thoughts through play, the arts and verbal communication to explore how they feel and think. Over time anxious, hurt, angry or upsetting feelings can be put into words rather than actions. My practice supports them in this journey.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
