I also have a keen interest in ADHD and fertility.
Are you feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed or struggle with low self-esteem? Do you need time to be heard without judgement or space to change? Maybe you have learned to stay strong but the bravery is in feeling your real feelings and working through it. We will work together to help you to manage with any difficult life experience, at the same time as learning to understand its causes. This will help you to feel yourself again (to feel lighter) and will support long term changes, ending unhelpful patterns. The therapeutic relationship that we create together is so important, as I believe it is what supports lasting changes.

Taking a trauma-informed approach I help clients with ACE’s, ASD, ADHD, BPD, EUPD, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss.
By listening to your story and understanding your needs I will provide a set of tools to help you move forward. When we have understood and achieved your goal the tools can help you ‘fly’. You will discover new coping skills and how to put boundaries in place, so you can face your future with more confidence and self -awareness. I live within a neurodivergent family. This enables me to relate to and make sense of a wide spectrum of thoughts and behaviours and help others understand 'why?'. My clients all share one thing in common- they know they could feel happier in their lives. My job is to help get them there.

Do you ever feel like the pieces just don’t quite fit and you don’t know where to turn? It’s incredibly brave that you’re looking for support, and this is the first step towards hope and change. I provide a trauma‑informed, relational space where you can bring what feels real and heavy, without pressure, so you finally begin to feel understood. I believe a genuine, real connection is key in therapy. I welcome you just as you are, with all that feels raw, messy or uncertain. In our sessions I listen with curiosity and kindness, offering a safe space where you don’t need to pretend or meet any expectations.

Do you have a child or adolescent who is struggling with emotional issues that may now be affecting their behaviour? Are you or your child diagnosed or undiagnosed as neurodivergent? Have you or your child struggled with anxiety possibly as a result of child hood abuse or school based anxiety leading to school refusal and avoidance? Are you worried about your teens self harming behaviours? Or maybe you're involved with the trauma associated with domestic abuse? Sometimes life can seem hopeless leaving you feeling helpless and unsure about the future but together we can find a way out of the darkness.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
