Counselling offered in a lodge that is private and relaxing, in person or online, available throughout the week.
Dealing with the fundamental challenges of life can be difficult; work, family, relationships, anxieties, depression and many other issues that can have a detrimental impact on your well-being. Reaching out for therapy is the start of your journey and together we will address those issues. I will support you along the way to realise the harmony and contentment you so deserve. My purpose is to steer you to a place where you can feel at ‘one’ within yourself and your world, making sense of your experiences, and recognising how your interaction with others impacts not only what you feel, but importantly the way you respond.

You keep going because stopping doesn’t feel like an option — even when you’re already running on empty. For many people, this way of living has grown over years of taking responsibility and adapting to what was needed, with little room to slow down and no one really to lean on. For some, this has been shaped by living between languages and cultures, where adapting became second nature, and asking for help didn’t always feel possible. I work with adults who have spent years holding relationships together — because that’s how their world has stayed intact — and are starting to feel the weight of carrying that responsibility alone.

Hi, I'm Lisa, an integrative psychotherapist (PGDip), and an individual member of the BACP. I appreciate that starting your therapeutic journey is not easy. With this in mind, I strive to create a safe space that is confidential and professional, but also comfortable, compassionate, and empowering to facilitate your journey to improved well-being, mental health, and quality of life. As difficult as it can be to reach out for support, it can be just as difficult to stay where we are, especially if we are suffering. I hope that today you feel able to reach out and begin rebuilding your story.

Think psychotherapists all wear floaty scarves and say “how does that make you feel?” Think again… I work with people going through the messy bits of life, stuck at the crossroads between who you’ve been and who you want to become. Maybe it’s a relationship that doesn’t fit, a loss that has left lingering grief, a job that drains you, or that constant voice questioning your worth and identity. These are the moments that shake your sense of self, and they’re exactly where our work begins.

I offer a calm, non-judgemental environment either online or in-person, where clients can feel supported to explore their challenges at their own pace.
Many of my clients are people who have lived with emotional or mental health challenges and are ready to find a gentler way forward. They may feel weighed down by the past, unsure how it has shaped their choices, yet hopeful for something different. What my clients long for is understanding, compassion, and a safe space to be heard without judgement. Their goals are often to accept their past with kindness, reconnect with what matters most, and create a more present, fulfilling, and balanced life.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
