I work integratively, drawing from person centred , psychodynamic, IFS and ACT approaches.
Many of the people I work with are highly sensitive, overwhelmed, anxious, or slightly out of step with the world around them.
They may be carrying long‑standing emotional patterns, masking to cope, or navigating neurodivergent traits while feeling disconnected inside.
I offer a calm, steady space where you don’t have to perform or explain yourself. Together, we explore what’s beneath the surface so you can feel more grounded, spacious, and connected to who you are.

In my sessions, I use ACT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based approaches to support clients in managing anxiety, strengthening relationships, and building self-confidence.
With over 11 years of clinical experience, I work with Turkish-speaking children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming with intense stress, anxiety, or relationship difficulties. Living in another country can make it even harder to find a safe space where you can truly express yourself. At this point, having a therapist who speaks your own language can make a meaningful difference.

Life is a beautiful challenge. We all face adversity in life, whether this manifests as mental or physical illness, trauma, or difficulty coping with day to day experiences. Therapy is not just about treatment or addressing mental illness, it is a tool that we can all use to develop a better understanding of ourselves and our individual lived experience, and to reconnect with the joy in our lives. Therapy can help us identify thinking and behaviour patterns, address past and present traumas, cope with everyday fears and anxieties, and learn ways to better relate to and understand ourselves, our environments, and other people.

I am an Accredited BACP Therapist & Supervisor. I can offer Person Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT and EMDR. If you are considering how therapy can support you through challenging life events, I can support you by offering a safe & confidential space in which you can begin to examine what may feel impossible right now to resolve by yourself; without fear of being judged and experience, perhaps for the first time, a real feeling of being heard. I work by helping you to explore your thoughts, emotions & life story so far, with the aim of both of us understanding & together making sense of the difficulties you are experiencing.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
