Have you ever felt like people just didn’t get you — maybe because you’re LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or you’ve been through bullying or abuse? It can be really isolating, and it makes sense if that’s left you feeling anxious, low, or just totally overwhelmed. I often work with people living with the long-term impacts of bullying, domestic abuse, or trauma — including those still finding their way out. I am experienced in supporting survivors of many forms of abuse, including spiritual abuse, coercive control, complex trauma, and dissociation, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). I also welcome their allies for support.

Are you needing support to manage: anxiety, low mood, a lack of motivation or relationship issues? Sessions with me, are rooted in compassion and curiosity and an integrated approach allows for flexibility in order for me to tailor sessions to meet your unique needs. I offer talking therapy, but sometimes words are not enough, so we may utilise Art Therapy tools. No experience of art-making is necessary, for things like: journalling, photography, or drawing/doodling to be beneficial.

We all go through periods in our life where we feel sad, anxious or overwhelmed by our difficulties and struggle to find a way forward. Perhaps you are going through a life transition, relationship breakdown or feeling stuck and lost as to how to make changes? Often these feelings can be linked to experiences from our childhood. Unlocking this can help make sense of what we are experiencing in the present. I can help you move forward by giving space and support to work through these feelings, make links and look at any challenges you face from a different perspective.

I imagine if you have come this far, there is something causing you distress. This may be related to overwhelming emotions, anxiety, relational difficulties or reoccurring and intrusive memories which continue to traumatize you. Perhaps you have experienced a significant loss or bereavement in your life and you seem unable to move on from painful grief and fears of abandonment. Maybe your early life was fraught with absent, inconsistent, frightening or abusive parenting, leading to low self esteem. You may also be aware of how this impacts on your ability to trust and reach out for care, or a constant need to be around others.

Starting therapy takes courage and it may feel daunting given that talking openly about your distress may evoke feelings of vulnerability. The therapeutic relationship is often the vehicle for positive change so finding the right ‘fit’ is important. Therefore, please contact me for a free telephone/video consultation to find out more. As a Clinical Psychologist my job is to listen with compassion to your life story and help you make sense of any troubles or trauma that you are facing within your life, whether that be in your present or reoccurring from your past.

In our work I will invite you to be curious, to allow deeper feelings to surface and to explore them with me as a reliable, resilient companion. I believe that togerther, allowing our creativity and imagination free rein, we can find a place of calm in the turbulence. A place where you can come to accept things you cannot change, have compassion for your most vulnerable self and hopeful growth towards your true whole self. I work in an integrative style, which means I can draw on different approaches within psychotherapy to build a working alliance personalised to you while also drawing on my own inner responses and felt sense.
