Over the years I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals living with anxiety, depression, trauma & psychosis, I have supported people living with the impact of sexual and domestic abuse.
Hiya, I'm Amy. I believe counselling can be a powerful resource for everyone, though I know that reaching out can sometimes feel a bit daunting. That’s why I offer a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you’re free to share what’s on your mind, entirely at your own pace. Counselling isn’t about quick fixes or easy answers, it’s about making space for the complex, sometimes confusing, human stuff. Counselling can be hard, I won't pretend that it is not without discomfort. The power in it is that when you understand and grow in how you relate to your own self, you can extend that out to the benefit of yourself and others.

I have a long background in disability (particularly neurodiversity), marginalisation, addiction, chronic illness, eating disorders, trauma and caring and all the psychological issues that can occur as a result including depression, anxiety, stress, burnout and relational problems.
‘There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.’- John Green Why come to counselling? Counselling can help keep you on top of things, as well as support you when times are hard. Often we struggle with more than just one thing in isolation, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and unable to find a way forward. You might be feeling some or all of these things: Low Lost Despairing Alone Exhausted Anxious Trapped. Or you might have specific problems such as addiction.

I will work at a pace that is right for you and have experience of a range of issues, including, but not exclusively: anxiety, depression, loss, self-harm and low self-esteem.
Hello and welcome. People come to counselling for many different reasons: They may feel stuck or uncomfortable in their skin, or perhaps they feel overwhelmed by feelings, relationships, events or other aspects of their lives. Whatever brings you, counselling can help you to make sense of, and manage, your thoughts and feelings. It increases our awareness of how we relate to others, it allows us to see how our past informs our present and we may discover what we want and need. It can give us the insight that allows us to make positive choices and changes in life.

Maybe you are grappling with anxiety or depression, or perhaps the bereavement of a loved one or the loss of something less tangible.
My therapy room is a calm, welcoming and confidential space, where you can take the time to explore what’s really going on for you. Within this space, you can begin to reconnect with your authentic self, the wise and deepest part of your being. I hold the belief that the answers you seek are already within you.
