I work with empathy and in-depth with issues, including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, isolation, grief, identity, difficult relationships, trauma, attachment, and neurodiversity.
I believe in the transformative power of holistic and creative practices to provide regulation, insights and solutions. As an art therapist I offer a specialised and tailored approach using therapy techniques and creative practices. However, you don't need to be 'good at art', or use art materials, as it's about the process and seeing things differently.

As well as trauma you may be suffering problems in your life that are holding you back, leading you to feel stressed, stuck, anxious or depressed or you feel like you are stuck in a cycle with no-one to talk to.
I trained a as counsellor for a number of reasons - I believe everyone should be able to talk about their problems freely without judgement. I have encountered a traumatic event, and I also know first hand the full extent of what addictions can do to the person and the wider family, coupled with life challenges. Not everything can be taught from a book.

The main issues I can help with is anxiety, depression and trauma.
For me whatever my client brings to our safe space is important-as well as myself being unconditional to all they open up about. They may feel it is less important to 'other issues' that 'other people' may have, but to me, all problems or troubles that someone is going through, are valid. I have six years experience working as a counsellor with children and young persons as well as adults. I have worked with the bereaved in a Hospice, those who have experienced sexual assault in other agency settings and also my private practice in Chelmsford where I offer counselling for children from the age of 4 up, young people and adults.

These experiences often shape patterns in day-to-day life, like anxiety, stress or difficulty trusting others.
I offer therapy in-person in Chelmsford and online, providing a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore life’s complexities. Therapy with me is an opportunity to process overwhelming emotions, navigate experiences, and develop deeper insights, in a way that feels meaningful and empowering. I am attentive to the ways culture, society, and identity shape wellbeing, and I am committed to creating a space that honours all aspects of your background, heritage, and personal identity. I support clients navigating relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and the pressure of carrying multiple roles and expectations.

We can all struggle at times but I find it's best not to do this alone, so let's talk about it. Sometimes an outside perspective can help to highlight blindspots in our thought patterns and in our routine ways of being.

Trust, confidentiality and being a positive support in the midst of someone's difficulties are the cornerstones of counselling. Let's meet in a safe space where you can share your story and we'll see what work we can work on, together.
Feeling understood by and having a sense of connection with your counsellor will put you in the best position for a more comfortable experience and promote deeper work together.

If you’re navigating the crossroads of neurodivergence and emotional wellbeing, this is a space to unmask and live as your whole, authentic self - not the version you were conditioned to be. Unmask: Let go of the masks you’ve worn to survive - the habits of fitting in, pushing through, or holding it all together. Heal: Together, we’ll explore how past experiences shape your present, to free yourself from what no longer serves you. Rise: Step into your empowered era - a life that feels like freedom.

I have 16 years experience in the counselling world dealing with a range of issues including but not exclusively; palliative care, depression, anxiety, identity, self harm and family dynamics to name a few.
Entering into counselling can be daunting and scary. Whatever it is that brings you to counselling we will work together with a freedom for you to "be" without judgement or criticism. It is often about gaining a greater understanding of where we find ourselves now as well as giving a voice to our experiences and feelings, often for the first time. Together we can work towards a brighter and more positive future for you.

Whether issues are historical in nature, centred in the here and now or fear of the future, you can uncover the origins and ultimately loosen the hold of unwanted behaviour patterns.
My work is dedicated to helping individuals understand how their past experiences and unconscious thoughts powerfully shape their present-day emotions, behaviours, and relationship patterns. We are often influenced by feelings and motivations outside of our immediate awareness, which can lead to recurring difficulties, emotional distress, and a sense of being stuck.
