Together, we explore your story at your pace, understand patterns, and develop tools to manage emotions and relationships.
Hi, I’m Aishah. I’m a psychotherapist working with Transactional Analysis (TA). I offer a warm, respectful, and culturally sensitive space to explore anxiety, identity, trauma, family patterns, and generational trauma. As a British Pakistani woman, I understand the complexity of living between cultures and the impact of silence, shame, and pressure to conform. You might feel like you are always holding it together for others while feeling lost or overwhelmed inside. I work relationally and at your pace, helping you reconnect with yourself and build a life that feels more grounded, free, and aligned with who you are.

We all face Challenges and internal conflicts at some point in our lives; there are three solutions to every problem; Accept it, change it or leave it. If you are reading this profile you are probably on the road of wanting change, you don't have to struggle in silence and the time for change is now. The most important ingredient of change is the acknowledgment of the situation.Sometimes it can be very hard to explain what is going on in your head or your heart when you don't even understand it yourself , this is where speaking to someone with decades of experience makes a difference.

I have over 18 years experience working as a counsellor and have experience of working with clients with eating disorders, couples, OCD, anxiety, grief, abuse, loss, post-traumatic stress, trauma, depression, stress, addictions, gambling, autism, ADHD, sexuality, self-esteem, sexual identity, parenting issues, self-harm, anger issues, co-dependency
Hi, I'm Sarah. I have over 18 years experience as a counsellor. We all have times when we find it hard to cope. Counselling can help you understand why you think, feel and act like you do. It can help you develop positive strategies to get what you want out of life. How we think, feel and behave is part of being human. Problems can arise when we get 'stuck' in negative thought patterns; when our feelings become overwhelming; when our behaviour is self-destructive and doesn't result in us getting what we need; when we worry about the future, dwell on the past and find it hard to live in the present.

I can create a safe space to explore and understand the problems you bring, both individually or together with partners.
I help people adapt to changes - or loss - at work, at home, with partners or in culture, I help to make changes, too: it might be something immediate like a phobia or more long-term, like anxiety, pervasive self-criticism or depression. With trauma and the issues that underlie addiction, I might use EMDR.

If you're feeling stuck, depleted, or like you're walking on eggshells in a relationship — romantic, family, friendship or work — you're in the right place.
I specialise in unhealthy relationship dynamics, emotional abuse, coercive control and manipulation. I've spent years studying these patterns — in the therapy room and beyond. I also offer Rewind Trauma Therapy for trauma and PTSD, and I'm the author of Game Over, out July 2026.

The relationship between client and therapist is fundamental to the process in dealing with the issues that are affecting your life.
Isn’t it strange how we talk the least about the things we think about the most?! Talking about your feelings, your emotions, your behaviours and your thoughts can feel overwhelming and conflicted, not knowing where to begin, this can seem scary and uncomfortable. My role is to support you to acknowledge, explore, accept, and understand them in order to achieve growth & positive change. My philosophy is that you hold your own answers internally but you are unable to access them, working collaboratively we will unlock them using your strengths and gaining empowerment.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
