Hello. As an experienced psychotherapist, I can help you manage current life challenges like sudden changes or losses; anxiety; relationship issues; bereavement; loneliness; parenthood; depression or past experiences intruding on your present. Sometimes clients come with a more general sense of unfulfilment or want to know themselves better. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to share your load, rather than carrying it alone. Psychotherapy offers vital connection, support and opportunity to work things through with an empathic, trained professional totally unconnected to your life.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or a little lost. Perhaps you’ve noticed familiar patterns in your relationships, at work, or in your inner world that feel hard to shift or understand. These experiences often have roots in earlier life—shaping how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we cope with the world around us. You might be looking for space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what feels difficult. Therapy offers a gentle, supportive place where we can begin to explore these thoughts and feelings together. You don’t need to have the answers—just a willingness to begin asking questions.

Although most people turn to therapy due to significant turning points like loss or bereavement, betrayal, conflict or a perceived defeat, others recognise their need to begin psychotherapeutic treatment due to feeling bewildered, unable to deal with unexpected low mood or experiencing anxiety.
I offer an integrative approach to psychotherapy, both individual and relationship.

As a counsellor specialising in trauma, I work with compassion and creativity to help you feel safe, supported, and understood. Together, we gently explore not just your thoughts and feelings, but also the deeper, subconscious patterns that can shape how you experience life today. Finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming. Looking at profiles, trying to get a feel for a person with whom you might share your world. I put great importance on my relationship with my clients. Getting to know you, understand you and how you experience life is at the core of who I am. As a Person-Centred counsellor, my belief is that you have the answers. Sometimes, we just need a little help making sense of what is going on inside. I work, looking at your own unique experiences, in a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space

Life can sometimes be difficult. There may be times when we find ourselves experiencing stress, anxiety, panic, or struggling with extremely low moods or bouts of depression. Maybe you find yourself struggling with life's difficulties, often feeling isolated and alone, believing that there isn't anyone you can turn to, including work colleagues, friends or family. Maybe past experience has taught you not to trust anyone with your feelings. Or maybe you find yourself believing that no one truly understands what you are going through.

Life can be difficult — and sometimes deeply painful. Whether you're facing significant loss, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, addiction, or harsh self-criticism, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, isolated, or lost. I offer a compassionate space to explore your experience and reconnect with parts of yourself that may feel distant. In today’s challenging world, an authentic relationship to ourselves or others — one grounded in acceptance, compassion and genuine connection — is unfortunately lacking in many of our lives. I believe this connection is key to healing and growth.

Infidelity Counsellors

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
