We all have troubling problems at times, be they emotional, personal or work-related. Sometimes these problems can feel overwhelming and we become stressed, anxious and unhappy. This can affect our confidence handling relationships, making decisions and generally, our ability to just cope with the pressures that each day brings. Reaching out to an experienced therapist will enable you to talk openly about your concerns and be listened to without being judged. For many people, this is a profound way of bringing about positive and lasting change.

Hello and Welcome, Life can indeed be difficult at times. Many are struggling with mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings can rise to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a PHD(Hon), Master Degree and EMDR(Accredited), I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

I work integratively with a strong somatic focus, helping you understand how anxiety, trauma, and relational patterns show up in your body and daily life.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, you’re not alone. You may be carrying old wounds, people-pleasing patterns, or tension in your body you can’t quite explain. You might be tired of holding everything together on your own and longing for clarity and steadiness. I offer a gentle, grounded space where we can explore why things feel this way and begin to untangle patterns that no longer serve you, slowly, safely, and at your pace.

For clients with trauma or deeply rooted patterns, I use EMDR, parts/ somatic-work, to reach what talk therapy often can't.
You moved to London thinking the hard part was behind you. But you're further from home than you expected — not just geographically. Maybe it's the loneliness no one warned you about, or the relationship strain you didn't see coming, or the anxiety that seems louder here than it ever was back home. As a fellow American living and working in London, I understand the particular ache of building a life abroad — and the complexity of doing inner work from the middle of it. I offer online therapy for American expats in the UK and Europe, and for those navigating anxiety, trauma, codependency, and life transitions — wherever they are.

I’m Robbie, a qualified psychotherapist based in London. I work particularly with people in their 20s and 30s, as well as adults of all ages, across a wide range of issues such as trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, OCD and more. Many of the people I see want to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface and find a steadier, more grounded way forward.

Growing up is not easy. In a world increasingly dominated by digital tools and quick-fix solutions, I offer something distinct: a space grounded in live, human presence. This is especially important for young people immersed in screen-based life. For overloaded, overstimulated nervous systems that struggle to relate in real time, therapy offers a vital chance to rest, breathe, rewire and settle — to explore different ways of being, to get to know all your different parts, and grow your self-esteem and resilience.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
