Every individual and every couple is unique and for most individuals a breakdown or rupture in their most significant relationship can feel devastating. Most often couples come to counselling in the hope that they can understand how the deterioration occurred, with a view to building a new and stronger connection. For some, this may be the last resort and for others it may be the gateway to separation. Whatever the reason, whatever the goal, it is important to know this process is never about blame.

Hi, I am a Psychologist, Psychotherapist and a Mindfulness teacher. My training is based in Mindfulness and this could offer you a way to connect with yourself more fully and to develop practical skills for self-listening. This can be helpful if you find yourself disconnected from your feelings or having difficulties in understanding, communicating and/or relating with others.

I have worked with children from age 4-17 with a range of presenting issues including trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, self-harm, depression and school refusal. I have worked with neurodiverse young people with ADHD and ASC, as well as young people who are questioning their gender or sexual orientation. I also continue to practise in a special school setting with young people exhibiting challenging behaviours and significant emotional and mental health needs. The purpose of the therapeutic process is to support the young person to feel safe enough to explore the challenges they have faced in life either verbally or creatively.

You may be wondering how talking therapy can help. Having a space to talk openly, to be heard and believed, within a safe and non-judgemental relationship, can help relieve the emotional pressure you may be carrying. When this pressure builds, it can feel overwhelming and may lead to losing touch with your sense of purpose or your true self. As you explore my website, you’ll find more information about my therapeutic approach and how I work, which may help you understand how therapy can support you in feeling more balanced and well again. Please feel free to check out my website for more information about my practice.

You may want to be happier because you find yourself struggling to get through the day as a result of troubling situations or overwhelming experiences and issues. Your will may be dampened by a difficult history of upbringing in your family or early social care environment. You may long to reconnect with yourself and others, personally and / or professionally and to rekindle your sense of self worth. You may wish follow your own pathway on the rocky road of life based on a deep sense of inner knowing, which will help you revive vitality for life.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Cambridge, working with individuals and couples who are experiencing anxiety, low mood, self doubt, work-related stress or recurring difficulties in relationships. Many people who come to therapy are managing demanding professional or academic lives while feeling privately distressed or stuck. At times of loss, change or crisis, difficulties that were previously manageable become harder to contain. Sometimes trying to change things yourself or engage short term support is not enough to bring about lasting changes and help you find internal peace and fulfilment.

My main areas of experience are in addiction, Trauma, destructive relationships, anxiety, low self esteem and lack of meaning. These are all behaviours that uncover deeper issues of what is going on. I use existential therapy and deep brain reorienting (DBR, a specialist trauma therapy) to work with you to do move away from the things that are causing you pain.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Perhaps anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, or emotional exhaustion are taking up space, or there’s a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right, even if it’s hard to name. You might be looking for a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore things at your own pace, without judgement or pressure. Therapy can offer time, support, and understanding during moments that feel confusing or heavy.

You spend most of your time in your head, analysing, assessing, overthinking. Your emotions can get the better of you. Your breathing can be tight, parts of your body are permanently contracted. You feel like you are always in fight or flight. You may be feeling overwhelmed, depressed or anxious. Whether as a result of one time or repetitive trauma your mental, emotional and physical health has been affected. It can be hard to express emotions or contain emotions or both. You would like to feel better and have the confidence to be yourself and more connected to those around you.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or just don't understand why you are not feeling "yourself" any more? We all face challenges and difficult situations in our daily lives. Sometimes, these personal difficulties can make us feel alone and unable to manage our feelings. Left unresolved, we can feel helpless to unravel these distressing feelings and emotions on our own.
