Coming to counselling can sometimes feel scary, and I try my very best not to be scary! I am a person centred counsellor whose main focus is the relationship we build together. I can offer you a judgement free space with warmth and genuineness, with no expectation for you to be anything other than yourself. I will never challenge you aggressively or make you feel small or stupid. We will work together to find what feels right for you, not what you feel you "should" be doing. I work with adults and young people through conversation, creativity and visual analogies that can help make sense of what you're experiencing.

This can include ADHD or neurodivergence diagnoses, bereavement and grief, career change, menopause, relocation or immigration, and ongoing health struggles that take an emotional toll.
You’re carrying more than you should have to carry alone. I work with people at turning points - grief, unwelcome change, neurodiversity, medical and life changing diagnoses who are ready to be met, not managed. Maybe you’re holding it together on the outside, functioning, showing up - while inside something feels off and you can’t quite name it. Maybe you’re not even sure you’re struggling enough to deserve support. You are. Therapy allows you to be with your thoughts and feelings in the presence of someone who hears what you can’t, holds it without judgement, and gently reflects it back , opening the possibility of seeing things

People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes it’s anxiety, low self-worth, or feeling stuck. Sometimes it’s not clear, just a sense that something isn’t right, or that you’re living in a way that doesn’t feel like your own. I work with neurodivergent clients, including ADHD, autism, AuDHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, as well as LGBTQ+ clients, including those exploring gender, sexuality, or in polyamorous relationships. Many people I work with have spent years feeling misunderstood or out of place. Therapy can offer a space to make sense of your experience, without having to mask, explain, or fit in.

It isn’t easy being the cycle breaker. Have you ever heard that you are ‘too sensitive’ or felt that your feelings are ‘too much’? Have you ever felt like you are the only one willing to acknowledge what makes everyone else put their heads in the sand? In your family, there may have been abuse, a lack of acceptance for who you are, or even just no space for talking about emotions. There may be historic traumas no one will talk about or patterns that go unacknowledged, and you are left holding the ball on everyone’s behalf. You may experience feelings of perfectionism, disconnection, or guilt about resting or caring for yourself.

We offer Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disability diagnostic assessments and support sessions for children, young people and adults, in Cambridgeshire and beyond.
Our assessments are thorough and follow National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. But, most importantly, they are completed in a collaborative way, supporting people to explore and understand their differences, and to celebrate their strengths.

Most of my clients are either neurodivergent ( ADHD, Autism) and/or LGBTQIA+/GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse) but I welcome all to my practice.
My expertise is in neurodivergence and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity but I also enjoy working with adults + children, young people and teenagers who are not those things. I was raised catholic but left the church when I was a teenager to pursue a more authentic experience. I know the feeling of not belonging - happy to support you too.

As a neurodivergent therapist specialising in ADHD and autism, my approach is built to align with how your neurodivergent mind thinks, feels, and processes.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve ever felt misunderstood or dismissed in traditional settings, or unsure how to express yourself. Many neurodivergent clients find that previous therapy hasn’t fully understood their experience. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and accommodating space where you can feel understood and valued exactly as you are. I work with an integrative approach, placing you at the heart of therapy in a safe, judgment-free space. My approach is flexible and fluid, adapting to your unique needs and preferences.

I support men experiencing: - Anxiety - Depression - Anger - ADHD - Ocd - Relationship difficulties - Low self-worth - The lasting effects of Bullying, Narcissistic abuse, - or difficult relationships with Fathers, Step fathers, Brothers and mums partner.
Many of the men I work with have spent years pushing things down, coping alone, or feeling they should just “get on with it” — until life becomes too heavy to carry quietly. I work specifically with men and understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable, or difficult to talk about. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and be properly heard. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years working in the construction industry, with some of that time spent running my own business. I understand the pressures many men carry — the expectation to cope and keep going.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy - the worksheets, the apps, the coping tools that promised to help. If you’re neurodivergent or living with trauma, it’s no surprise those didn’t stick; survival mode needs more than a strategy. You might be here after a diagnosis, burnout, loss, or just years of masking that finally caught up with you. Either way, we start where you are - not where you think you’re “supposed” to be.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
