You might look like you’re coping—but inside, it feels different. You may overthink conversations, feel anxious without knowing why, or find yourself people-pleasing and struggling to say no. Sometimes something small shifts—and suddenly your body is flooded with urgency or emotion that feels hard to control. You might react more strongly than you’d like in relationships, then question yourself afterwards. This may connect to earlier experiences or trauma that still affects you now. And underneath it all, there may be a quieter, persistent question: Am I really good enough?

Sometimes life can throw us a curve ball, leaving us reeling and unsure which way to turn. Relationships, separations, difficult upbringings and losses can all cause tensions and heartache. If you are a young person, you might be finding school, friends, family or career choices overwhelming and confusing. In these situations, it's normal to feel anxious, depressed or stuck, finding ourselves getting upset over the little things, questioning our worth or wondering who we really are. I can help you to explore your troubles, find your true self, reflect on your choices and move confidently towards a healing outcome.

Hi, I’m Holly — a warm welcome. I work with people who spend much of their lives supporting others and are now feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally stretched. This may include parents, carers, professionals in helping roles, or those navigating relationship difficulties. I offer a warm, down-to-earth and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, make sense of what you are carrying, and reconnect with yourself. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive. Therapy can offer space for you, too.

It’s normal, at some point, to get stuck, or to struggle facing life's challenges. Sometimes we know exactly what’s wrong but at other times we might just have a nagging sense that something isn’t quite right. Therapy can help by supporting you to explore the roots of your distress, understand more clearly what’s keeping you stuck, and create new ways to think about yourself and your relationship roles and patterns. By uncovering the obstacles holding you back, you can learn to problem-solve, make better choices, practise healthier coping strategies, and turn your goals into realities to find a greater sense of peace and fulfilment.

You’re not broken—and change is possible. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start healing. In this space, you can show up exactly as you are—real, messy, uncertain, human—and still feel accepted. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck, process what’s been painful, and reconnect you with the parts of yourself that want to grow. When you feel safe enough to be truly seen, that’s when things begin to shift. In that space, understanding, self-kindness, and confidence can take root and help you face life’s hardest moments with greater clarity and choice.

M Scott Peck wrote in the "Road Less Travelled" ... "Life is difficult". We all have times when we get stuck, we're overwhelmed, not sure where to turn and loose sleep. During these periods, we need some help, some me time with someone who is going to listen, not judge and offer them the support they need, in order to develop insights into "why this is happening" and to help them find the solutions to make a change, to get to a happier place.

All of us experience challenges as part of life. When these are traumatic or overwhelming, they deplete our energy, create blockages, hinder healthy functioning, disconnect from our power and take us out of our inner alignment. Despite being outwardly successful, you may feel that something is missing within you and you are not truly yourself. There are many reasons for why this might have happened and for some people this starts very early in their childhood, for others later in life and in both instances, there are ways in which these experiences can be explored and transformed into an inner healing and positive growth process.

I use integrative approach that combines psychodynamics, Jungian depth psychology, somatic enquiry and Buddhist mindfulness.
I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist practicing a mindfulness-based therapy. I offer a warm, grounded space where you can slow down and be met deeply. Together, we can explore the patterns, relationships, anxieties and emotions that feel stuck or overwhelming, so change emerges naturally with clarity, compassion and lasting depth. I recognise that it is not the model of therapy that brings about positive change, it is the quality of the relationship. I will not hide behind a professional mask and will allow you to set the agenda. My open and sensitive approach provides the safety for your difficulties to be fully addressed.

I have been lucky enough in my career to date to work with some incredibly inspiring and brave individuals who have been at a crossroads in their life. Sometimes making change felt frightening or impossible due to past beliefs, stuck patterns of behaviour or limiting thought processes. Others were struggling to move on after devastation, illness, loss or identity crisis. I believe it is a privilege to be able to guide those in need at these times due to the courage and vulnerability they show. They are asking from the heart for a new beginning - to break from the past, not feel scared by the future and live truly in the present.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
