Life can be difficult, and humans are complex beings. It’s not surprising we can end up feeling unhappy, lost or overwhelmed. Dealing with emotions is an important part of self-care and counselling can equip you with the awareness and tools to be kinder to yourself. People often choose to have therapy when things go wrong, but you don’t have to be in crisis.

I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on how negative thoughts affect behaviour & feelings, keeping you stuck in unhelpful patterns or habits.
We can all struggle and sometimes it's difficult to stop and notice what’s not working for us. We can fall into repeating cycles of damaging or unhelpful habits, behaviors, and relationships. We can hold a negative belief system about ourselves which impacts our confidence and forms low self esteem. So if you feel like you’re surviving, not thriving; if you're feeling anxious & have low mood / depression; if you're having intrusive thoughts or wondering if you're experiencing OCD; if you're finding your work or home life stressful; if you’re dealing with family or relationship issues; if you're just not happy...I can help!

I’ve been a CBT therapist for 8 years, focusing on making therapy realistic and doable, in everyday life.
I’m not a blank-slate kind of therapist - I show up as my full, human, AuDHD self. I am based in London, and offer online therapy that is collaborative, warm, and grounded in real life, which specialises in ADHD & Autism. We’ll figure out what’s going on, what matters to you, and what might actually help - in a way that works for your brain, not against it.

Drawing on CBT, including trauma-focused approaches, alongside integrative and relational work, I begin with careful assessment and formulation to ensure treatment fits your needs and supports meaningful, lasting change.
You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. Perhaps you are struggling with the effects of trauma, recurring relationship difficulties, or the pressure to cope while carrying significant professional or personal responsibility. Outwardly you may function well, yet privately feel dissatisfied or emotionally stretched. You want a clearer understanding of what is happening and practical, effective ways to move forward. My patients are often thoughtful, capable individuals seeking meaningful psychological change, greater emotional freedom, and a more sustainable way of living.

Looking for a therapist can be an absolute minefield! I mean where do you even start? We all sound the same on here don't we. So why not jump on a free 15 minute call with me to really see what I'm like and if you feel safe in my hands? Now the blurb: Is your relationship feeling strained or stuck? Or has your sex life gone stale? Perhaps you feel trapped in recurring arguments, disconnected to the point of feeling like roommates, or burdened by infidelity, loss of intimacy, fertility struggles or mismatched sexual desire. Whatever the challenge, it can feel overwhelming—like there's no way forward. There is! I’m here to guide you.

Are you tired of putting on a brave face when inside you wish the world would just swallow you up at times? Perhaps you struggle to feel good about yourself, your body or your life and carry the burden of shame, regret or frustration about this. Maybe you dwell on the past, worry about the future or over-analyse everything you do harshly and critically. Do things all seem a bit grey sometimes? You might be in your head a lot & perhaps you've learnt ways to protect yourself or cope (that may be having unintended consequences). You may understandably long for life to feel pleasurable, hopeful and meaningful again.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy allows us to recognise that our beliefs and interpretations of events can impact our emotional reactions.
I became a therapist because I am passionate about people and improving as well as enhancing mental wellbeing. I understand that life can be a challenge and at times it may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but I want to assure you that you do not have to go through life’s struggles by yourself. I am here for you and I am here with you. With your permission, I would like to come besides you and help you explore and discover events, thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour and together support you to make changes.

They may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in repeated cycles. I provide a supportive, non-judgemental space to help them understand what is happening beneath the surface. Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Counsellors
How does cognitive behavioural therapy work?
Cognitive behavioural therapy works by exploring how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. CBT helps you identify distortions in your thinking. For example, you may tend to jump to the worst case scenario catastrophising or think in extremes (all-or-nothing thinking). A therapist can teach you how to push back against those thoughts to ultimately change your feelings and behavior for the better. They can also provide coping skills to better deal with stressors and challenges.

When do I know to seek treatment with cognitive behavioural therapy?
It’s reasonable to consider cognitive behavioural therapy if you struggle to manage difficult emotions or behaviors to such an extent that you are not getting the most out of life on a day-to-day basis. If you want a shorter term, concrete, skills-based approach, CBT is a great option. (By contrast, other types of therapy may devote more time to exploring your past and its effects.) The decision to seek CBT also depends on the condition you’re treating; CBT is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other disorders.

How can I find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else?
To find a cognitive behavioural therapist for someone else, you may want to begin by discussing the person’s problem, researching cognitive behavioural therapy, and assessing whether the approach is the right fit. You could then reach out to a few cognitive behavioral therapists in this directory, explain the scenario, have a consultation with those available, and determine who could be a good match.

Why is CBT such a popular form of therapy?
CBT has become a popular form of therapy because it is effective and accessible. Robust research has demonstrated that CBT is an effective treatment for many mental health conditions. And CBT can be learned in relatively few sessions, which means that many people can engage in the process, afford it, and see results quickly. It involves learning concrete skills such as disputing unhelpful thoughts; these skills can also be taught and spread widely.
