My ideal client may feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected—often juggling complex cultural, personal, or relational pressures. They might seem “fine” on the outside but feel lost or overwhelmed inside. They’re seeking clarity, healing, and a deeper connection with themselves. What they need is a safe, affirming space where they can be truly seen—where their identity, story, and struggles are met with compassion and depth. They’re ready to explore, grow, and make meaningful change at their own pace.

There is so much focus these days on "What's wrong with you" using terms such as 'depression', 'anxiety', 'disorder', rather than talking about "What happened to you?" Your mental health is much more than just a label or a diagnosis and therapy offers so much more than just talking. It can give you new understanding, new insights, a different perspective, clarity about a problem and the way forward. It can teach you skills to live your life better, teach you more healthy coping strategies or simply give you the space and time for self reflection and a place to find peace of mind.

Struggling to understand your identity, pronouns or where you 'fit'? Are you navigating your unique relationship and setting boundaries? Helping your soul and feeling free again as a psychotherapist sums up what counselling is to me. In the sessions I listen attentively and with genuine understanding. I focus on being fully present with you, allowing you the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace, without pressure or expectation. I understand that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, so I work hard to create an environment where you feel safe. In our session, I won’t tell you what to do or direct your decisions. Instead, I will walk alongside you as you navigate your own emotional landscape, providing compassionate guidance.

Living in a world designed for neurotypical minds can be overwhelming. Whether you’re neurodivergent yourself or supporting someone who is, you may face challenges that lead to anxiety, self-doubt, or burnout. You want to feel understood, to build confidence in who you are, and to create a life that supports your wellbeing—not one that forces you to simply ‘fit in.’ You need a space where you can process your experiences, develop self-compassion, and learn strategies to navigate life with greater ease.

I offer a supportive, neuroaffirming space where you can bring your whole self without fear of judgement. Every therapy journey is different, because every person is different. Some people know exactly what they want from therapy, while others aren’t sure where to start. Either scenario (and anywhere in between!) is okay. In our sessions, you can openly reflect on your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There’s no pressure to share anything before you are ready.

Neuro developmental: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD: and secondary psychiatric symptomatology, emotional regulation, attachment, trauma, addiction, OCD/obsessional thinking
Having worked in the NHS for over fifteen years; I specialise in Psychiatric care and Neurodiversity. As a Neurodivergent therapist, I have found from practice and my research, which evidences Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy; strong therapeutic alliance with my patients; there's reassurance, safety and a sense of belonging when working with someone who actually gets you! I have worked hard to ensure therapy caters to and adapts to our brains! Techniques such as eye contact, open questions, long silences, often made me and my patients want to run away, perpetuating a belief of hopelessness and helplessness.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
