I am committed to continued professional development in areas such as clinical supervision, Internal Family Systems, adverse childhood experiences and attachment, racism, gender identity, sexual violence, PTSD & C trauma.
I am an art psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, informed by Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
I facilitate space that allows co-created sessions, that suit the individual needs of those that I work with. There is no pressure to make art within the sessions but there is always a selection of art materials, alongside other creative tools to aid exploration of your inner world. Through the therapy, my clients are able to build a stronger sense of who they are and of the patterns that have formed in their lives and to consequently, begin to make the changes in their life and in their relationships that they desire.

It doesn't matter when you bloom, it matters that you do. I see psychotherapy as a kind and safe space for you to be seen and heard. We all have a core goodness and ability to flourish in our lives. Sometimes we need a little help to find our way.

I regularly work with teenagers who might be struggling with their gender identity, and trans teens who would like support coming out or navigating the world as a trans person.
Do you need some support? Do you want to collaborate with a therapist, rather than feeling that they're the expert? I’m currently taking on clients from all backgrounds, and I specialise in working with queer and trans youth and adults. I am neurodiversity affirming, and have experience working with autistic and ADHD clients with low to medium support needs. Whatever your identity or background, I will tailor my therapeutic approach to suit you and your needs at this time.

Life has a habit of bringing dilemmas, difficulties, and struggles into our path. It is just human to respond with hurt, shame, anxiety, or by feeling lost, stuck, and depressed. Psychotherapy can help you make sense of them and move forward. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, understood, and listened to, a space where you can be fully yourself, with no need to perform or explain yourself. The ultimate goal is to help you create a more meaningful life and explore new ways of approaching your relationships with yourself, others, and the world.

Are you struggling with feeling anxious, low or depressed, uncertain or disconnected? All around us people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about how they are supposed to manage their relationships, careers and their lives. You are not alone. Talking about it can really help but perhaps the people you usually talk to are struggling with their own problems or don’t know how to help. I’ve spent 30 years as a therapist listening and helping people find more peace, clarity and joy in life.

Everyone thinks you're fine. You've worked very hard on that.
Work, relationships, responsibilities — you hold it together well enough that nobody would guess the effort it takes. But privately something won't shift. The anxiety that arrives for no obvious reason. The relationships that follow the same exhausting pattern. The flatness that success hasn't touched.
You've probably tried to address it. Got some tools, felt better for a while. But something underneath keeps reasserting itself — and you're right that it does.
Thirty years of my work has been with exactly this — what's actually driving it, not just the symptoms.

You may be carrying something that feels too heavy or too confusing to put into words, grief that won't lift, anxiety that shadows everything, or a sense that old patterns keep repeating no matter how hard you try. Perhaps you've experienced trauma, loss, or a pain that others haven't fully understood. My clients are adults across the UK who are ready to look deeper, not for quick answers, but for real understanding. Many come with depression, trauma, complex grief, infant loss, or relationship difficulties. Some come from diverse cultural backgrounds navigating identity, belonging, and emotional pain. What they share is courage.

Transgender Counsellors
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.
What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.
How can I recognise a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognise a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.
How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
