I have experience supporting people with the following: Alzheimer’s – Anxiety – Bereavement – Low Self-Esteem – OCD – Panic Attacks – Stress – Suicidal Thoughts - Trauma.
Are you feeling so overwhelmed that you feel out of your depth? Or experiencing a sense of loss, unable to cope? Fear is our worst enemy, and we will try and find a way of taking back control. If you feel you are struggling there is a strength in reaching out for support. Counselling helps you to gain a better understanding of self through the therapeutic process, and I believe we are all unique and have the potential to change, therefore develop a belief in your ability to cope. You will begin to make sense of the past and begin to recognise your true self.

Psychotherapy can meet our innate need to be heard and deeply understood. Together we can explore your sense of being in the world and process difficult emotions, recurring difficulties or questions. Working with safety and sensitivity we can also process early life experience, past trauma and complex relational dynamics. My holistic approach aims to work with the whole of a person - I work relationally and openly with you to build awareness of psyche, body, memory, energy. As you deepen your understanding of self, you may start to let go of old patterns, restore a sense of balance and begin to build foundations for growth.

I welcome clients facing a wide range of difficulties in their lives and offer a safe, non-judgemental space to listen and help you find ways to move on. You can bring all your feelings - whether anger, loneliness, anxiety, fear, shame, simply being stuck - and together we can make sense of where these feelings come from. In doing so, we can reduce their hold on you.

We live in a culture that promotes the idea of strong, powerful individuals who live picture perfect lives. There is little room for showing our vulnerability, or our need for connection. There is a cultural expectation that when things are difficult for us we should just 'get over it' and not make a fuss, this might manifest in you with thoughts of "what's wrong with me", "why is this so hard" and "I should be able to manage by myself" and so on! You may be feeling fragmented, disconnected, numb, overwhelmed, fearful, unable to cope, you might feel like giving up.

Hi I’m Tom. I am a therapist living with a diagnosed neurodiversity, and I’ve dedicated my practice to supporting other people in the neurodiverse (Autistic/ADHD) community. I know how important it is to feel understood and what it feels like to be misunderstood in a world built for neurotypicals. As someone who shares many of the same experiences, I bring empathy and authenticity into every session. My goal is to help you feel supported, valued, and empowered to create positive change in your life.

I also work with low self esteem and perfectionism, whilst not mental health problems per se, they are often long standing problems which can result in anxiety and depression.
I have over 10 years of experience working with adults to overcome mental health problems. CBT is an ideal treatment for those who are looking to change, whether that be to make some changes in the way in which you think about things, or some changes in the way in which you do things day to day. CBT can also help clients come to an understanding of 'why', E.G. what is it about you, your experiences & vulnerabilities which perhaps help explain why you struggle. This is often validating & helpful rather than self blaming. Together we will equip you with the skills and understanding you need in order to move forward with confidence.

My experience has been working with clients who have experienced domestic abuse and / or trauma. If you have experienced such misfortune and are looking for somebody to listen to you, and be with you as you explore how your experiences are affecting your life, please feel free to reach out. Feedback from clients say that I am laid back and easy to talk to, and that I am a good listener. I often use metaphor and analogy to better understand what the client is telling me.

Do You Feel Like Something's Missing? Maybe you’ve been feeling out of place—like you don’t quite fit in, even when you're surrounded by people. You might be carrying a sense of loneliness, sadness, or disconnection that you can’t quite explain. Perhaps you’ve lost the spark you once had, or you’re struggling to express your emotions. If you’re a sensitive soul trying to make sense of a fast-paced, overwhelming world… If something has happened that’s changed everything, and life doesn’t feel the same anymore… You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

We can work towards greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing, towards greater confidence and stronger self-worth, empowering you to feel more confident in facing life’s challenges and supporting you to create meaningful, positive change
Sometimes, life can feel difficult or maybe even overwhelming and speaking to somebody from outside of your family and friends can give you a different perspective, an opportunity to view things differently and perhaps to speak more openly. I am a person-centred counsellor, and I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and self-healing if they have the right environment. I will provide you with a safe, warm empathic space where you will be listened to, heard and fully accepted without judgement. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work and is built on trust and respect.

Feeling stuck despite trying everything? Many of my clients say: "I understand what's wrong, but I still feel overwhelmed and exhausted." If anxiety or low mood feels constant, patterns keep repeating, or you're carrying past experiences you can't shake - you're not broken. Your nervous system is doing exactly what it learnt to do.I specialise in evidence-based CBT enhanced with nervous system awareness and neuroscience education. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within 3 sessions - not because we just talk, but because we work with your body's responses, not against them.
