My aim is to help you to live a rich and meaningful
life
. Through an in-depth, reflective, supportive dialogue, I help you to clarify what you value, disentangling what really matters from old or habitual beliefs; identify and address the patterns that hold you back from living in a way that fully expresses your values; and look at ways in which you can start moving towards that valued
life
. Do get in touch if you are going through a transition, feel you’re not quite being the person you’d like to be, are struggling with a decision, or simply feel you'd like to understand yourself better and live
life
more fully.

I use an integrative, relational approach, mixed with some
coaching
and creative methods.
I am a warm and creative BACP accredited psychotherapist who offers 1:1 therapy to adults in distress or who are actively seeking change. I have experience of working with a wide range of presenting problems from relationship difficulties, health-related issues and loss to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD and borderline personality disorder, as well as neurodiversity in all its forms. Careful listening within a warm, supportive, respectful relationship can help us feel safe enough to reflect. I think that reflection can help us heal.

Health and Well-Being are
life
-long passions and so my personal mission is to empower clients, like you, to achieve their full potential and to live a fully creative and joyful
life
.
Counselling and psychotherapy is about you: your concerns, and your wellbeing. We can talk about me, and what clients say about me later. But for now, let's establish how you can benefit from professional support...... Does any of this sound like you? "I want to reduce stress" "I feel anxious all the time" "I wish I was more confident and less critical about myself " "I want to feel optimistic instead of negative all the time" ...Or perhaps you want some direction in
life
, become more productive or improve your relationships?

At the deepest level of your being, you are already whole, complete and spontaneously yourself. However, as is the case with many of us, some painful
life
experience, psychological wounding, loss and other challenging moments led to an internal fragmentation in which some parts of yourself became more dominant and other parts became hidden. In therapy we will explore how this fragmentation occurred and focus on restoring your wholeness. By listening to the rejected and abandoned parts of your being, we will give these elements a voice, with the aim of recovering your balance and your inherent openness and relaxation.

Starting therapy is brave! It is not often that we give ourselves the opportunity to explore our emotions on a deeper level. My belief is that sharing our innermost feelings with another can be one of the most healing human experiences. The space we share is non judgemental, accepting and warm, it is our shared connection which contributes to your growth, self acceptance and the change you are looking for. My clients are from all walks of
life
, with a range of challenges, from low self worth and crippling anxiety to depression and loss of identity. What they all share is their desire to grow and the courage to start exploring.

There are many reasons why people seek time and space to talk and reflect. You might want to talk about thoughts and feelings that are difficult to discuss with others, or consider what has happened to bring you to this point in your
life
. This can be a space for exploration and discovery, a protected hour in which you will be listened to. My focus is on listening openly, without judgment, to whatever you bring. I will listen to your experiences and your point of view and together we can look at different perspectives which can help you to live more freely.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
