I can offer EMDR, CBT, and integrative psychology sessions to help.
Firstly, I think it's amazing that you're making the first step in your journey towards feeling better in your life, whatever that means to you. I would be honoured to support you towards your recovery of mental health difficulties and thank you for considering me! I focus on what’s happened to you, not what’s “wrong” with you. You might have symptoms of anxiety, depression, complex trauma, PTSD, significant drug and alcohol use, or been given a label of “personality disorder”, and I can support you to understand what this means and how to move forward. I aim to help people make significant changes in their lives to feel better.

My approach focuses on an integrative style of counselling and therapy.
Integrative therapy can meet the needs of the individual through a holistic approach to therapy. This involves combining ideas and techniques such as person centred, psychodynamic and gestalt therapy. However, this is all dependent on what your needs may be. How this works in practice is that it enables me to offer a more flexible and inclusive approach.

Welcome to a life journey, where you take the centre. I am committed to hearing you without judgement and offer safe space, warmth, compassion and empathy. Working together, we explore events that adversely affect your enjoyment of life. My aim is to create a safe environment, where you can accept yourself fully and grow to love who you truly are. Life events, i.e. loss, end of a relationship, or sexual/domestic abuse, can be overwhelming resulting in uncharacteristic response such as anxiety, depression, extreme anger or dependence on substances. Therapy provides the opportunity to openly examine our response to life events.

Your counselling journey will be a unique reflection of you and your needs. You may already know what brings you to counselling or you may discover this on your journey Counselling lends itself both to short-term work, for example, to help you identify current challenges and action changes and longer term work, if you wish perhaps to gain a better understanding of established behaviour patterns or how your childhood, relationships or past development can continue to impact you

My work is integrative (meaning I draw from different therapy theories), and is client-centred, at your pace, gentle and compassionate.
I'm a Level 7, Masters qualified therapist and I have almost a decade of experience working with female survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. I have also worked with female users of self-injury and I have a size-inclusive (HAES) approach to issues around body image. I come from a feminist and intersectional perspective in my client work.

My training was " integrative", meaning that I studied a range of counselling theories.
I understand that you’re here because something in life just isn’t sitting right. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, or a vague, lingering feeling of being “stuck,” it can be incredibly lonely to face it on your own. I believe that no one should have to navigate these moments without support. Counselling is a place for you to feel safe, seen, and understood—a chance to unpack what’s weighing on your mind. We all have times when the stress of work, relationships, or simply carrying past experiences becomes overwhelming.

I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapist.
I provide a non-judgemental and confidential space, where you will always be warmly welcomed and safely held. The first step is to notice that perhaps something in your life isn't as you would like it to be. The second is the desire to do something about it. There is no right or wrong reason to come to therapy. Being human is complicated.

I'm an Integrative Therapist working online with people across the UK, and in-person in the centre of Bristol.

For this reason, I aim to create a really warm and welcoming environment free of judgement, to help you to feel safe and supported to express yourself.

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behaviour patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
