I understand that reaching out for help can feel really difficult. I have a wealth of life experience and have been through my own difficulties in the past. This gives me a down to earth, positive and nurturing approach with clients. I am neurodiversity-affirming and home education friendly.

Perhaps you feel lost, ungrounded, unable to understand your emotional way of being and always seem to be at conflict with yourself and others in your life. Perhaps you suffer from anxiety, stress, OCD, addictions, lack of self-worth. Perhaps you are grieving a loss of a loved one, relationship break-up or a job. In these times of stress and anxiety, one needs to find one’s inner core strength to be able to be fully grounded and able to fully move into life with clarity and focus. With my counselling skills and our teamwork, you can become the person you were born to be.

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy and counselling for adults with emotional and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience of working in the NHS and voluntary sector, and now in private practice. Psychodynamic psychotherapy involves listening to what is going on underneath the surface, in order to understand emotional pain and problematic patterns. It can be an effective treatment approach for a range of problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship or sexual difficulties, eating problems, emotional constriction, fear of intimacy, or feelings of being stuck or held back.

I'm rooted in person-centred practice and integrate other approaches e
Warm welcome. I'm a EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, BACP Accred. Counsellor and Supervisor. Choosing a therapist with whom to connect and build a trusting therapeutic relationship can feel daunting, even risky, yet also empowering and hopeful. What does it feel like to take off masks, shedding protective layers that keep the authentic, vulnerable self safe while navigating through challenging or traumatic times? Together we can explore what you feel ready and safe to share - whether these are current, buried or almost forgotten experiences.

I mainly see clients in-person Tuesday morning through to Thursday evenings, with some online options Wednesday afternoon and Fridays.
We live in a culture that promotes the idea of strong, powerful individuals who live picture perfect lives. There is little room for showing our vulnerability, or our need for connection. There is a cultural expectation that when things are difficult for us we should just 'get over it' and not make a fuss, this might manifest in you with thoughts of "what's wrong with me", "why is this so hard" and "I should be able to manage by myself" and so on! You may be feeling fragmented, disconnected, numb, overwhelmed, fearful, unable to cope, you might feel like giving up.

Welcome to my profile. There are various circumstances which might bring an individual to counselling. Some people may be aware of the cause of their distress e.g. bereavement or difficulties such as addiction that they would like to address. However others may have a feeling of unease but can't seem to put a finger on what might be wrong in their life. Whatever the reason you have chosen to seek help, I will provide you with a safe and confidential space where you will have the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings and we will work together to make sense of your experiences.

I offer weekly, in-person sessions, with occasional online sessions if needs be.
If you are ready for lasting change, then EMDR therapy may be for you – EMDR seeks to address the heart of the matter. I can help you to move from 'coping' to greater self-acceptance, and embracing life more fully.

I offer weekly/fortnightly sessions online or in person.
Together, we can begin to explore and clarify your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours and start to identify relationship patterns that may no longer be helpful. I aim to support clients to become more self-aware in mind and body and be more conscious of the choices they make. I will help you to understand yourself better and to live life more authentically. Most of us face challenges and struggles at some time in our lives, so whether you are interested in working through a current problem or simply want to find out more about yourself, I can provide an accepting environment to help you explore.

I currently have availability for in-person Music Therapy sessions on Fridays in Bristol.
Music Therapy offers a space to safely explore and express experiences and emotions beyond the reach of words. Through musical play, listening, singing, or simply being present with sound, we can begin to process what we’re carrying and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may feel lost, overwhelmed, or changed. In this space, music becomes a gentle container for feelings, helping with self-regulation, strengthening identity, and building connection with ourselves and others. Music Therapy is suitable for people of any age, and no musical experience is needed.

I offer online or in-person sessions, surrounded by nature at my office near Bristol; we have cows, sheep and the odd deer roaming around.
Life is full of complications, turning points, loss, anxiety, trauma; it is also full of beauty, opportunity and potential. It can be scary to talk about things though not talking can sometimes make it worse. Therapy offers the chance to bring whatever you want into the room, giving space, care and attention. Whatever the challenge, I’m here to listen - we will move through it together. Psychotherapy is different to counselling and offers work at real depth looking into your history, feelings and emotions. Previously I ran a London-based consultancy business and was a professional athlete. I’m now based in South Bristol/Bath.
