Starting therapy can evoke many different feelings and sometimes takes a lot of courage. I wanted to start by acknowledging that, and commend you on being here. If you feel like my approach may resonate with you, feel free to get in touch for an initial consultation. I have always been fascinated by the human capacity to grow, change and heal. Psychodynamic psychotherapy provide a safe space to process and manage whatever you are dealing with in your daily life. It offers you the chance to understand yourself, and your experiences, better, so you can make clearer choices and what you want in your life.

Humanistically recognising the needs of an individual ,we see how trauma can be held at a very deep level. Working from the story of an individuals early negative & positive childhood experiences and using Integrative therapy in a number of ways to help the process of getting to one's core beliefs, helps to create a safe space for them to explore and release old patterns. This happens by building a trust with the client to allow their vulnerability to come through. Then, looking at the blocks or defences, via counselling and body Psychotherapy, a unique holistic approach to wellbeing, allows the journey back to health.

Relationships, work and life can feel overwhelming and unmanageable when we feel like we do not know where to turn.  Anxiety can build, making even  small challenges feel out of control, causing stress and depressive episodes.  I offer a calm and peaceful space where you can offload, feel listened to and supported, whilst growing in self-awareness and confidence which can feel empowering.    I work with both adults and young people.

Wellbeing therapy, counselling, is a strange phenomenon, as it requires you to step into yourself and express how you are feeling to a professional person who has trained in the field and is able to unravel what you are going through. I offer support, listen/hear what is being experienced with empathy using a flexible approach and work with what you bring to the sessions. I can offer a solution focused, collaborative approach which can include strategies and techniques, psycho educational materials, a creative self exploration so you are able to expand your awareness, be autonomous, develop self-efficacy to realise your goals.

Do you feel like you’re not getting what you want out of life? Perhaps you’re repeating old patterns that just don’t work for you anymore. You know something needs to change but what exactly? And how? These are very common thoughts to have, I’ve had them myself. So much so that I studied counselling and have learnt the skills to help others get back on track using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). If you don’t know much about CBT that’s ok, effectively it focuses on understanding how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact, and on developing practical skills to respond differently to difficulties.

Counselling and psychotherapy is about you: your concerns, and your wellbeing. We can talk about me, and what clients say about me later. But for now, let's establish how you can benefit from professional support...... Does any of this sound like you? "I want to reduce stress" "I feel anxious all the time" "I wish I was more confident and less critical about myself " "I want to feel optimistic instead of negative all the time" ...Or perhaps you want some direction in life, become more productive or improve your relationships?

If you’re feeling lost, stuck or struggling to understand yourself, I offer a calm, compassionate space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. You may be experiencing low mood, anxiety, depression, grief, or navigating life as a neurodivergent person. You don’t have to face it alone. I work with teenagers, young adults and adults in a neuroaffirmative way and often work with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, AuDHD, Autism and dyslexia specifically) and those beginning to wonder whether undiagnosed neurodivergence may be part of their story.

Anxiety, stress and burnout can creep up slowly — until they start to take over. You may feel constantly on edge, mentally exhausted, stuck in worry, or unable to switch off. Sleep suffers, confidence dips, work feels heavier and life feels harder than it used to. If this sounds familiar, you’re not failing — you’re overwhelmed. I specialise in helping adults manage anxiety disorders, chronic stress and burnout, and in supporting people whose physical symptoms or chronic pain are intensified by stress and anxiety. Many of my clients are capable, high-functioning people who have reached a point where coping alone no longer works.

I work from a person-centred approach. I find the clients I work with find value in exploring their issues in the room and having someone to listen, to challenge them and to look for solutions together. There is no rush and I work at the clients pace.

Life can feel like you're barely keeping your head above water when you’re dealing with big changes, uncertainty, or emotional strain. It’s tempting to do nothing, convincing yourself that staying small is the safest option—but deep down, you know it’s not. It just leaves you stuck and alone. These moments creep up, showing as stress, overwhelm, fear, or anxiety that grows and can get too much. You might even notice it physically—the tension, the sleepless nights, the fatigue—or mentally through low mood, anxiety or both, as if your mind is on a loop, replaying the same worries.

Career Guidance Counsellors
How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
