June 2022 - I am currently fully booked and not taking on any new clients until September 2022. Many of us have times in our lives when we feel the need for some extra support. Perhaps we are lacking confidence and self-esteem, going through relationship difficulties, feeling depressed, anxious, experiencing stressful life changes such as bereavement, divorce, or redundancy. Perhaps now is the right time to address long-standing issues – or maybe we find ourselves at a crossroads and feel unsure of ourselves and of which way to turn.

I work with people who have suffered a bereavement, a loss of some type, or individuals who may want to work on a something specific, such as low self esteem , relational difficulties or wanting to explore their own process in a safe way, this list isn't exhaustive. Clients are welcome to explore experiences that arise for them, as they happen and for this to be accepted, using a relational and relatable approach- in more long term work. I also work with anxiety disorders, depression or low mood, OCD, specific phobia's and binge eating disorder, in a more solution focussed way, using shorter term interventions.

I know how hard it is to live with anxiety, low mood and poor self esteem .
Are you exhausted by the effort it takes to manage your feelings? Do you want to feel safe? Do you wonder who you are or why you feel bad? Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self esteem , panic disorders or relationship problems, there is good news. Research has shown that a good relationship with a counsellor/therapist can really help. My approach is to help you understand both 'your hidden self' (the unconscious) and find everyday tools and tasks that can help you change your life. I hope I can show you that all the wisdom and creativity you need to enjoy your life is within reach.

If you’re struggling or finding things difficult, you’re not alone. Maybe you feel stuck, confused or overwhelmed. Maybe you feel lost, alone or disconnected from life, yourself or the people around you. Maybe you lack purpose or meaning in your life. Maybe you don't really know what the problem is but would like some support. I am here to listen, support and encourage you as you explore the issues you face, help you understand yourself better and see things more clearly. I can help you work through difficult thoughts and feelings, and find ways to manage them so they have less impact on your life and wellbeing.

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
