I am a warm and compassionate integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor - specifically trained to work with children and young people - with over 20-years’ experience supporting children and adolescents with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. My training as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor means I can tailor therapy or counselling to the needs of the individual. Experience has taught me that It is the relationship between myself and a child or young person that is central to therapy being helpful and I offer an environment where children and young people can explore their thoughts and feelings freely.

People come to counselling for many reasons, including depression, low mood, anxiety, grief, overwhelm, self-esteem difficulties, relationship difficulties, feeling stuck in repeating patterns, or navigating change and difficult life transitions. In our sessions, there is space to talk openly about what you are going through and to feel heard and supported. I am based in Brighton, offering online and in-person therapy. I also offer a small number of concession spaces. I have a particular interest in life between cultures, nationalities, and languages, and can help you explore what belonging, identity, and home mean for you.

I am a psychodynamic, integrative psychotherapist and counsellor and member of the BACP. Community care is important and I work for the NHS and a bereavement service, where I have seen a broad range of people with complex issues. I can offer sessions from my therapy room in central Brighton or through walking/talking therapy in a private countryside setting near Lewes as well as online sessions. By moving and talking and not being stuck in a therapy chair, it can often offer deeper insight with issues you are struggling with through the peace, beauty and privacy that this unique setting provides.

Online 'shopping' for a therapist can be tough. I know, I've done it. Scrolling through faces and bios. So why me? I love my job and I love to share what I have learned over the years. My approach is direct, yet compassionate and practical but evidence based. I don't do 'therapy' talk, I do 'human' talk. I also do a lot of listening. Our sessions are a chance for you to fully be yourself - with no judgement - or to find out who you really are. Together we will explore the barriers holding you back - and slowly break them down, so that you can start living right now, instead of waiting for that perfect version of you to turn up.

I help clients navigate challenges that feel too difficult to face alone — including anxiety, depression, PTSD, CPTSD, trauma-related flashbacks, emotional dysregulation, a sense of panic, and difficulties connecting with others. I also work with couples, currently training as a couples therapist. I am an experienced practitioner and regularly update my clinical skills through continuing professional development, ensuring my work remains informed by current research and developments in psychotherapy. I’m open, personable, and able to empathise with my clients, and to take them deeply into a meaningful healing journey.

I’m Julia Fry (she/her), and I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults online via Zoom. Firstly, welcome to my profile. The start of our counselling relationship together begins here. Here you can read about me, as your future counsellor. Are you feeling you would like to make some changes in your life ? I can offer you a place to take some time-out to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour to unpick your issues. Counselling allows you to discuss your issue/s and any difficult feelings and emotions you may encounter in a safe, confidential environment. Simply, it is reflecting on who you are & want to be, exploring your thoughts, feelings & difficulties in more depth, whilst I support you achieving your goals

I am an experienced therapist working with both couples and individuals. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, career issues and relationships. If you are a couple, you may be attending therapy to work through a particular challenge or event, to maintain a relationship that's essentially working well, or to consider ending a relationship kindly and respectfully. Whether you're attending individually or as a couple, at the start of our work, we'll identify what you want to achieve from counselling. Whether your aims are abstract or specific, we can work towards them together.

Undertaking psychotherapy can be daunting, especially nowadays, when so many different types of therapy are available. It can be overwhelming to make that decision. In my approach, I believe that each situation is unique. Through my experience of working with teenagers and their families, as well as adults in individual and group modalities and couples, I learned to develop a sensitive ear for my client’s needs. We all sometimes struggle due to external or internal pressures or a combination. However, I deeply believe that facing difficulties with compassion and an open mind can be liberating.

I’m a psychotherapist, lecturer & supervisor specialising in trauma and longer term therapy. I was the trauma lead for the counselling service of TfL for 6 years & currently teach psychotherapy at Regent’s University London. I integrate different approaches to therapy including EMDR, psychoanalytic and humanistic ways of working. A primary focus of the work tends to be on relationships, recognising patterns and exploring different ways to relate to yourself and others.

Hello and welcome to my blurb. I know it can potentially be a daunting experience choosing a therapist so I’ll try and make it as easy as possible to see a glimpse of me, and be clear on how it all works. What is most important for me is to be authentic, open-minded and honest in everything that I do, including my practice. I will always endeavour to be myself, which I hope will give you the permission to bring your whole self. I’m a person-centred therapist, which means that I am led by you and will be with you in your therapeutic journey as long as you want me there.
