I'm Queer and Autistic and I work with anyone who feels I'm a good match for them, regardless of identity - you don't need to be part of a specific group.
You might be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, difficulty sleeping, low confidence or low self-esteem. You may feel trapped, lost, alone or directionless. Perhaps you are unable to make decisions or identify your needs. It could be that you are out of touch with your body or mind. You may feel it's time to reconnect with yourself. Therapy can help.

With 15 years of experience as an Art Psychotherapist, I have supported individuals facing various challenges, including autism, ADHD, self-harming behaviour, anxiety, low self-esteem, attachment difficulties, PTSD, and CPTSD.
Art therapy is a powerful and reflective process that encourages creativity and exploration of our inner worlds. The freedom of art-making bypasses the limitations of verbal language, allowing for a healing and instinctual experience. Through art, communication is enriched, and emotions find a new avenue of expression. Art therapy invites you to experiment without the need for prior artistic expertise. We can move between art therapy and talking therapy, depending on what feels right in the moment. There is no pressure to use art materials.

I regularly support people diagnosed, undiagnosed or self ID with ASD/Asperger’s/ADHD.
Since graduating, as a Person-Centred counsellor in 2005, I have been committed to creating safe spaces for people to heal. As well as close, empathic listening I offer EMDR and IFS or ‘parts’ work. These methods treat the symptoms of trauma to reduce suffering, improve daily functioning and increase self compassion, clarity, creativity and confidence.

My clients are thoughtful individuals who value depth and reflection. Many have lived through trauma, loss, or periods of profound transition, and now seek not quick solutions but sustained psychological work. They are drawn to therapy as an ongoing investment in awareness, relationship, and inner freedom — a confidential space to explore complexity, rediscover meaning, and live with greater authenticity and emotional depth. This is a process for those who wish to engage seriously with themselves and create lasting transformation at the deepest levels of experience, where real change becomes possible.

I have extensive experience supporting autistic and ADHD clients in a neuro-affirmative way.
At the heart of my work is a belief in a deeper self. That calm, wise part of you that knows what you need and longs to live more fully. When life becomes overwhelming, it’s easy to lose touch with that inner clarity. Therapy offers a space to reconnect with it.

Many people I work with are autistic or have ADHD — formally diagnosed or self-recognised — and often only realise this later in life.
In therapy, we gently explore what drives your patterns and what your mind and body really need. Over time, you can feel lighter, calmer, and more in tune with yourself — discovering clarity, self-compassion, and a way of living that truly reflects who you are. You can build a life that feels meaningful, satisfying, and aligned with the person you want to be

I have additional specialisms in: LGBT counselling, neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), working with people affected by HIV, and working with polyamory and ethical non-monogamy.
At various points in our lives, we all experience feelings, thoughts and events that we find challenging. You might be feeling anxious or depressed, finding it difficult to come to terms with something that has happened in the past, or worried about what the future will bring. Perhaps you feel stuck in a difficult situation, or caught between what seem like impossible choices. You may be seeking an opportunity to think about who you are, what is important to you, and the kind of life you want to lead.

Most of my clients are either neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism) and/or LGBTQIA+/GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse) but I welcome all to my practice.
My expertise is in neurodivergence and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity but I also enjoy working with adults + children, young people and teenagers who are not those things. I was raised catholic but left the church when I was a teenager to pursue a more authentic experience. I know the feeling of not belonging - happy to support you too.

What is the most effective treatment for autism?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?
Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?
Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
