Here to support you through many different issues. I have helped people who are struggling with a sense of what I call ‘stuckness’, in their life. Are you feeling trapped in a job that doesn’t inspire you to get up every morning? Are you feeling imprisoned in life’s routine and experiencing a sense of emptiness, but are unsure of how to fill that void? Are you quietly asking yourself, ‘Who am I?’ You are not alone. I have supported people with these difficulties. In a world that seems to be telling us how to look, how to act and even how to feel, it’s no wonder we can find ourselves feeling lost and confused. I can help.

I have experience working with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, inner child work, ADHD, PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, addiction, attachment, relationship issues, parenting, carers, end of life and bereavement.
Hello I'm Clara and thank you for visiting my page. Talking to someone about issues you may be facing can often be difficult, so well done for making that first step. Searching for a counsellor can also prove difficult and it is important to find the right one for you. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor. There are many approaches to counselling and as an Integrative Counsellor I work with several theoretical approaches such as Person Centred, Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I also offer creative ways of working.

Alongside my private practise, I work for a charity supporting people with active addictions and complex trauma, and also have lived & professional experience working with parents and carers of children with SEND, & late-diagnosed/self-identifying adults with autism, ADHD & other neurodivergence.
Many of us experience times when life feels hard - whether it's something we've been struggling with for a long time, or a present problem causing us pain or holding us back from living the life we want. At the heart of my work is building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to share your story and explore what's troubling you in a warm, confidential, non-judgemental space. I believe all of us are doing the best we can, often in less than ideal circumstances, and I'll work alongside you at your own pace, gently uncovering new perspectives and possibilities for meaningful change & healing.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy - the worksheets, the apps, the coping tools that promised to help. If you’re neurodivergent or living with trauma, it’s no surprise those didn’t stick; survival mode needs more than a strategy. You might be here after a diagnosis, burnout, loss, or just years of masking that finally caught up with you. Either way, we start where you are - not where you think you’re “supposed” to be.

I have found my niche is working with trauma and relationships, often working with individuals who are neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ due to my own ADHD diagnosis and non-binary identity.
Flexible - we can work with a structure or see session-by-session with regular check ins. Authentic - I don't hide behind a professional facade, to allow us to develop a therapeutic bond. Supporting you to develop agency - my purpose is to help you to listen to yourself so you are developing coping mechanisms you can use to thrive outside of therapy.

I also specialise in neurodivergence: ADHD, AuDHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, epilepsy, bipolar, OCD, tourette's, epilepsy and depression.
Hello, my name is Eve, I am a neurodivergent support specialist & person-centred therapist. I always aim to be a compassionate facilitator, listening and acknowledging each individual's experience without shifting the conversation in another direction, and being open to everyone's own experience; being trusting and trustworthy, and curious. I feel this is vital in helping people feel accepted and better understand their feelings. This approach can help reconnect with inner values and a sense of self-worth by enabling people to find their way to move forward and progress with acceptance and self-compassion.

Finding a therapist can feel like a minefield. Ultimately you probably want to find someone to talk to that you feel comfortable with, and who can of course help. I understand how confusing and nerve-wracking it can be to consider therapy and take the first step. I provide clients with a supportive space in which to unpack their challenges. I will help you to get a better handle on what is happening for you. I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, significant loss and bereavement, childhood and midlife trauma, as well as difficulty understanding feelings.

We all experience difficulties at certain times in our lives. It can take a lot of courage to ask for support when we are feeling down, anxious, or facing a crisis. Finding the right therapist is not easy, but I believe that looking for one is already a step forward.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
