I am a person-centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). There are times in life when people can experience unmanageable or emotionally overwhelming feelings and behaviours or maybe a trauma that may persist even if there is support from friends and loved ones. I encourage my clients to fully explore their experiences and help them accept who they are and what is out of their personal control, so they can better understand their current situation and improve their lives.

Something feels harder than it should and you might not even have the words for it yet. Maybe you're overwhelmed, anxious, or carrying grief you can't quite name. Perhaps becoming a parent has brought unexpected emotions to the surface. Or you're in the middle of a life transition that's left you feeling lost. I offer warm, relational psychotherapy tailored entirely to you, a space to slow down, make sense of what's happening and feel less alone with it.

Many of the people I work with have been struggling quietly for a long time. They may appear fine on the outside while feeling anxious, exhausted, or deeply stuck underneath. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, bereavement, PTSD, or body dysmorphia, you do not have to keep carrying it alone. I work with adults and young people in a warm, private, and completely non-judgemental space. My priority from the very first session is that you feel safe, heard, and respected. I believe that a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of all meaningful change.

I deliver therapy online or face to face (Hemel Hempstead).
Hello and Welcome, Life can indeed be difficult at times. Many are struggling with mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings can rise to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a PHD(Hon), Master Degree and EMDR(Accredited), I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

I offer sessions in person from the comfort of my home, or online via remote video.
Though you may feel apprehensive about seeking therapy I am here to put you at ease and offer a free consultation to discuss your needs. I will help you achieve a deep understanding of your difficulties and why you may feel stuck. The way we frame our experiences and the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world are the cause of self-disturbance. I will show you how to overcome this so you can achieve a complete, transformative and permanent change. We will literally rewire your brain by creating new neural pathways, and you'll become your own therapist, equipped with the knowledge to live life with freedom and happiness.

Counselling can sound scary but many children find it helpful to sort out how they feel about things that are happening in their lives. Often these are things they feel they have no control over, and are issues many people struggle with, like friendships, self-confidence, and anxiety. Or maybe your family is going through a tough time and your child would like their own space to talk about a divorce or bereavement, for example. It isn’t always possible for them to change what’s happening in their lives, but counselling can offer them a deeper understanding of themselves and some control over their own responses to life experiences.

I see clients on weekdays with some evening availability either in-person at my practice room in Notting Hill or online via zoom.
Are you looking for a safe and supportive space to explore difficult feelings, relationships, or experiences? We all encounter difficulties at some points in our lives: problems with relationships, anxiety or depression, sexual concerns, low self-esteem, addiction to alcohol or drugs, bereavement, trauma or feelings of anger, grief or panic. As a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space in which to explore the conflicts and issues that bring you to therapy and to start to address the underlying patterns that may prevent you from moving forward in your life.

I practice online and face to face, at addresses in London and Oxfordshire.
Are you stuck, finding life hard to manage or struggling with neurodiversity? Work with me to reconnect with your authentic self, the things that bring you joy and not get stuck on automatic pilot, playing parts that don't work any longer. You don't need to be unwell to benefit from psychosynthesis or mindfulness, although most people come to therapy when something gets stuck or unworkable in their lives. Whatever your reason to seek help, I believe in reconnecting you with what makes your heart sing.

I specialise in seeing individual clients who have experienced loss and grief, and couples who need support around their relationships. Even in situations where we do not experience bereavement explicitly – in divorce, for example, or when events conspire to permanently deny us certain opportunities – we can experience this shattering dimension of loss. It can be very difficult to talk about these issues, others do not know what to say to you, and may even minimise your loss. It can be a great relief to speak to someone non-judgmental, who really listens and can understand the world from your perspective.

I offer therapy sessions in-person or online via video.
Most people come to therapy when something isn’t working anymore. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down from coping on your own. You’ve tried to make changes, but the same patterns keep repeating. You know something needs to shift, even if you’re not sure how. I aim to offer a space where you feel genuinely heard, without judgment, and where we can begin to make sense of things and find a way forward. A strong therapeutic relationship is central to my work and provides the foundation for understanding patterns that may be keeping you stuck, clarifying what matters to you, and supporting you in building the life you want.

I'm a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 10 years' experience supporting adults through emotional distress, life challenges and personal growth. I work with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, bereavement and issues relating to Autism and ADHD. My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to the individual. While I draw upon evidence-based approaches including EMDR and CBT, I believe therapy works best when it is shaped around the person rather than expecting the person to fit a particular model.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
