I am a person-centred Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). There are times in life when people can experience unmanageable or emotionally overwhelming feelings and behaviours or maybe a trauma that may persist even if there is support from friends and loved ones. I encourage my clients to fully explore their experiences and help them accept who they are and what is out of their personal control, so they can better understand their current situation and improve their lives.

Hello and Welcome, Life can indeed be difficult at times. Many are struggling with mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings can rise to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a PHD(Hon), Master Degree and EMDR(Accredited), I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

Many of the people I work with have been struggling quietly for a long time. They may appear fine on the outside while feeling anxious, exhausted, or deeply stuck underneath. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, bereavement, PTSD, or body dysmorphia, you do not have to keep carrying it alone. I work with adults and young people in a warm, private, and completely non-judgemental space. My priority from the very first session is that you feel safe, heard, and respected. I believe that a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of all meaningful change.

Something feels harder than it should and you might not even have the words for it yet. Maybe you're overwhelmed, anxious, or carrying grief you can't quite name. Perhaps becoming a parent has brought unexpected emotions to the surface. Or you're in the middle of a life transition that's left you feeling lost. I offer warm, relational psychotherapy tailored entirely to you, a space to slow down, make sense of what's happening and feel less alone with it.

Every individual brings a unique set of issues, but it's usually mental or emotional distress that leads you to seek therapy. Some short-term relief can be gained, but developing your strength and inner emotional resources can take time, so you can confront and manage your challenges.

Have you ever promised yourself that things would be different this time, only to find yourself stuck in the same cycle? It's common - wanting to improve a relationship but losing your temper despite your best efforts, or hoping to express your feelings but freezing when the moment comes. Therapy could help. You don’t need to explain it perfectly, just somewhere to start. I’m a person-centred therapist offering a collaborative space, led by empathy and honesty. People often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally exhausted. In time, life will feel a little easier to face, and you’ll start to recognise yourself again.

It may be that you have something specific you want to talk about, you may want to calm the negative thoughts that are going around your head or you may be looking to find help for someone you care about. Perhaps when you just want someone who will listen to you, a space to off-load where there is no worry about saying the wrong thing, the fear of being judged or where feeling like you are being an imposition. I am here to help you when you are ready to take the next step.

Often, clients come to me feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety and worry, weighed down by depression or anger, carrying unresolved trauma, or struggling to navigate complicated relationships.
I work integratively with my core training rooted in Psychodynamic Therapy — which means I’m interested in your unconscious processes and beliefs, with a focus on the past. Additionally, I draw on more behavioural based ways of working such as CBT where we will take an active look at the link between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I also work extensively with both men and women around anger management, trauma, boundary setting, and addiction, helping them navigate these issues with compassion and clarity.
My priority is creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel they can truly be themselves. That’s often the starting point, having a place to be heard without fear of criticism. From there, we work together to develop practical, real-world strategies that empower clients to move forward and build the life they want beyond their immediate challenge

I work with children and adolescents-up to the age of twenty five, who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, low mood, and social difficulties. Many of the young people I support are seeking to feel understood, heard, and validated. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where they can explore their experiences, build emotional resilience, and feel empowered to grow into the best version of themselves.

I help clients identify and shift patterns holding them back from growth, confidence, and happiness. Our work supports stronger relationships, breaking family cycles, and improving communication. I also help with anger where it affects relationships, and support women in rebuilding trust in relationships with men.

Anger Management Counsellors
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
