I am a transformational life and career coach: I change lives, and I am passionate about what I do.
I am passionate about helping people to live their lives fully, with no exception. Katy was a recent client and sums my work up perfectly. 'Over the years I have tried counselling with different therapists but could never find anyone suited to my needs until I was introduced to Lottie. My sessions with Lottie have literally been life changing.' - Katy

I am an Anxiety UK–approved therapist and offer a blend of counselling alongside health and life coaching.
Hi, I’m Nicky. It can be incredibly hard to try to figure it all out on your own. I’m here to offer the kind of space where you can put the world on hold for a while and work through what is best for you. I chose the name Pensieve for my practice because it represents exactly what I hope to offer you: a place to siphon off the thoughts that are swirling too fast or feeling too heavy or stuck. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, depression or exhaustion from navigating this world, having a space to offload those thoughts makes it easier to spot the patterns that are hard to see from the inside.

Maybe there are signs that things aren’t okay in your life just now: it might be strained relationships, low self-esteem, feeling overwhelmed by the demands in your life, feeling a sense of loss, unprocessed traumatic experiences, unmanageable stress levels, rising anxiety, addictive behaviours or developing obsessions.
You might know, deep down, it could help to talk things through with someone who can help but the thought of reaching out to a therapist can feel like a really big step. However, seeking therapy is a sign that you’re taking what’s going on in your life, and what’s going on inside your mind and body, seriously. That takes courage.

I often use a person-centred approach with clients, but sometimes I will pull on my CBT skills as well as my coaching background too.
I offer support to all adults of any age through my support and safe environment. I tend to work with 'person-centred principles' where you can talk freely and with support, and help you find the right solutions. Everything is done in confidence, and at the right pace for you. I have used counselling myself in the past, and I know the value of that confidential space to explore all of my thinking and to help me move forward.

I provide therapeutic experiences through counselling, coaching and psychotherapy.
I provide an emotionally safe space to share your story and to explore your challenges. I use your signals, seen through your communication, how you are physically and your levels of energy, to find the ways to create a breakthrough. It might be an ‘Aha’ insight resulting in change or taking a cheerleader role to help you persevere with being different.

In our initial sessions, we will explore the issues you are facing in depth and work together to develop a plan that supports you in moving forward and regaining a sense of balance in your life.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, childhood trauma, or compulsive behaviours, including addictions. Many come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space to explore challenges, understand patterns, and develop coping strategies that promote insight, resilience, and personal growth. We look a little at the past and connect some dots on how patterns and behaviours play out today. Sessions can be short- or long-term, face-to-face, online, or by phone.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
