A very warm welcome. Are you looking for a supportive, reflective space to work through your difficulties? Sometimes it’s hard to talk to family or friends and we need someone who offers a fresh perspective with warmth and understanding. Together we can explore whatever is holding you back and help you find a way to move beyond it. All topics are welcome. Currently many of my clients are interested in uncovering a better sense of who they are, or finding their own authentic voice or inner strength, rather than pleasing others.

I bring a breadth of experience to every client I work with acquired from a variety of roles within Universities, EAP work, bereavement work and adult adopted clients.
You show up. You keep managing. But privately, you wonder how much longer you can keep going like this. I work with adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are holding it together on the outside while running low on the inside. Burnout that crept up slowly. Work stress that follows you home. Relationship patterns that repeat no matter how much you try to change them. I also work with people who have recently discovered or beginning to suspect that they may be autistic, ADHD or AuDHD or who simply feel like they're performing a version of themselves rather than bringing their true selves.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly struggling, therapy can offer a space to pause and make sense of what’s going on. You may be navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, a painful life transition, or a sense that something isn’t quite right. I offer a supportive space where you can talk freely, feel listened to, and begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

I believe therapy can be a transformative experience. Whether you have recently been through a difficult or traumatic experience, are feeling lost, low, are struggling with negative self-image, or you just feel it may be helpful to have a space to untangle your thoughts and develop a deeper understanding of yourself, I can hold a safe and non-judgemental space for you. My work is integrative (meaning I draw from different therapy theories), and is client-centred, at your pace, gentle and compassionate.

Anxiety, grief, anger, emptiness, or a disconnection from the life force that makes us feel alive.
My approach, Core Process Psychotherapy, is rooted in mindfulness and the wisdom of the body. Together we slow down, listen inward, and let sensation become the guide, moving from the noise of the mind into the quieter, deeper knowing that lives below.

I'm a dedicated person-centred counsellor, and I bring both professional training and personal experience of bereavement to my work — I know what it is to sit inside that disconnection and not know how to put words to it.
My own experience of bereavement, and many of life's other challenges, has given me a personal understanding of struggle. I offer a working relationship that is honest and genuine, shaped by a real passion for supporting others — a warm, non-judgmental space to explore your emotions safely."

with eating disorders I may use more practical interventions than in my grief or relationship work.
If you change nothing, nothing changes but it can be hard to know where to begin. I feel it starts with you being heard and valued. Having your story and your feelings witnessed and validated is extraordinarily powerful and provides the catalyst for change. You will gain a clarity and a sense of perspective as well as an understanding of why you behave in the way you do. Talking to me will feel different from talking to a friend or family member. I will offer you insights and reflections, not opinions or solutions. I am interested in you and your experiences and they matter to me, but as I'm not involved I can remain objective.

In a world that often demands we move faster and have all the answers, it can be a relief to simply slow down. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in a loop of “should”, or just sensing that something isn’t quite right. Whatever you are carrying, you don’t have to carry it at full speed. Because I work with a wide range of life’s challenges – from anxiety and low mood to relationship tangles and life transitions – I don’t come to our sessions with a pre-set script. Instead, I bring a deep, non-judgemental curiosity. Together, we can look at your thoughts and feelings like pieces of a puzzle and gently begin to explore.

Are you struggling with a relationship or juggling the competing demands of your private and professional life? Are you feeling stuck and uncertain about how to fulfil your potential? Have you recently lost someone close to you? I first sought help as a young mother and the benefits were so enormous, I chose to train as a psychotherapist myself. I work one-to-one and with couples, helping you to identify patterns in your relationship with others, and with yourself, and establishing ways of changing those patterns that do not serve you.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
