I take a person-centred approach, meaning you are free to choose the direction of our work together whilst I aim to support you with anything you wish to explore or delve deeper into. As well as this, I also use attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology as part of my integrative approach. These theories help provide a deeper understanding of how past relationships and early childhood experiences may impact you at present. By utilising this integrative approach, I am able to offer a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic space for you to explore thoughts and emotions at a pace that suits you.

Do you often feel overwhelmed by the needs of others or find yourself unsure of who you truly are? Maybe you identify as a highly sensitive person, perfectionist, empath, or people pleaser, constantly putting others first while neglecting your own needs. You may struggle with setting boundaries or feel a lack of self-worth. My goal is to help you reconnect with your authentic self, embrace your sensitivity, and build the confidence to live a life that feels true to you. “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” - Carl Jung.

Feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed? Talking therapy helps, but some stress lives deeper in the body. Breathwork is a powerful, science-backed way to release stored tension and regulate your nervous system, for healing that starts from within.

If anxiety is getting in the way of you living your life the way you want to, we can work together to change that. Anxiety can creep up on us and there doesn't need to have been a big trigger for it to have a real impact on our lives. I work with people to overcome a range of anxiety based difficulties and have a particular interest in supporting people with OCD, phobias and panic attacks. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help you understand your anxiety, become less fearful of it and find ways to tackle it. Therapy can also help you to recognise what you are already doing that is helpful - there is always more than you think!

Welcome. My name is Terina. Therapy is a bit like a walk through a forest that we agree to go on together. We don't yet know what the experience will be like, where it will take us or what might come up and we can't determine the outcome - it is new and unknown for both of us. The important thing is, we do this walk together. I can offer you my support, empathy and honesty and the space to explore anything that matters to you, without judgement.

Clients come to me when they are seeking deep or broad change, over a period of time. They have often tried more brief forms of therapy and this has often been helpful, but there is a wish or a need to get to something deeper. I work with a range of presenting issues, most commonly depression, anxiety and 'people pleasing', stuckness and relationship problems. What my clients have in common is a wish to understand themselves at depth, including how the past is unconsciously impacting on their present lives. This takes courage since it involves uncovering emotional pain, but this forms the starting point for change in the self.

Hi, my name is Hope. I know, a pretty good name for a therapist! I am an Integrative Psychotherapist. My aim and approach in therapy is to help you find your own path to the life you wish to live. We are all uniquely different and have different reactions to life and life events. I can help you work through some things you might find difficult. For example: Anxiety; Depression; Trauma; Relationship Issues. In order to heal and progress, we must first understand our emotions, what they are and where they come from. From here can make decisions to do something different, to break the patterns that no longer serve us in our life.

I am a clinical psychologist with an interest in helping you to develop an understanding of why you feel the way that you do and helping you to understand the influence of your life experiences. Often ways of being that we develop early in life utilised the best resources available at that time and helped then but may no longer be so helpful now. I feel that it is important to work collaboratively with you to help you to explore these patterns and to develop a deeper understanding and connection with yourself, as well as exploring strategies that may help you to move forwards.

You may be living with PCOS or Endometriosis and feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted stuck in cycles of overthinking, anxiety, low mood or self-criticism. Perhaps hormonal symptoms, fertility worries, body image concerns, relationship strain, or feeling dismissed medically have left you overwhelmed and uncertain. You want calm, clarity and confidence again to feel more steady in yourself and able to cope, even when life (and symptoms) feel unpredictable.

I offer online counselling for adult women experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties with self-worth or relationships. Many of the women I work with come from culturally diverse backgrounds and have grown up navigating high expectations, responsibility, and pressure to be strong, often alongside unmet emotional needs. You may feel that no matter how much you do, it’s never enough, or feel disconnected from yourself beneath roles and expectations. Some women come to therapy feeling behind in life, unsure of their identity, or longing for more ease, meaning, and emotional connection.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
