I work with adults navigating burnout, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, and the quiet ache of feeling lost or disconnected.
I offer relational, trauma-informed therapy that meets you where you are. We’ll work collaboratively to understand what’s going on beneath the surface—whether it’s trauma, anxiety, addiction, or burnout. Together we’ll connect patterns, untangle old wounds, and make space for something new. I bring warmth, insight, and honesty to every session.

Individual counselling: In my work with a range of clients with a variety of needs (such as anxiety, low mood, depression, relationship issues and ADHD) but have a great deal of experience working with bereavement and loss.
NOTE: I am unable to take on new clients due to a Sabbatical. Relationships are beautiful, messy, and deeply human. I’ve seen how silence can grow between two people who once couldn’t stop talking, and how resentment can sneak in where laughter used to thrive. I’ve also seen how healing happens—slowly, bravely, and sometimes with tears and breakthroughs in the same breath. What I help with: Feeling disconnected or misunderstood Constant arguments or silent tension Rebuilding after betrayal or infidelity Navigating major life changes together Exploring intimacy and sexual connection Preparing for marriage or long-term commitment

If you are struggling with overwhelming anxiety, feeling low or lost, finding it difficult to forget the past, or unsure of who you are or what you want to do with your life then I may be able to help. I'm a clinical psychologist with years of experience in working with adults with complex difficulties. I draw on a range of models and work "integratively", which means I adapt evidence-based interventions to meet your specific goals and needs. I always ensure therapy is a collaborative experience. My clients say I am easy to talk to, and therapy sessions often include laughter as well as tears.

Hi my name is Lizzie, How are you feeling? unhappy, anxious, stressed, angry or depressed, or is there something specific you feel you would like to talk about. Life can be difficult and overwhelming, we sometimes struggle to make sense of our feelings and what is going on for us. We can get stuck and not know how to make life more comfortable. Although that first step can be nerve wracking and sometimes difficult, Counselling can be that first step to making that positive change. This is your time for you, to be listened to and understood and have the the world seen from your perspective, at a pace that is comfortable for you.

I know how hard it can be to reach out - to find the right words, to feel worthy of help, to even know where to begin. I have been in that same seat and taking the first step is incredibly brave. My approach is warm, intuitive, and calmly paced. I offer a space where nothing is too much, and nothing needs to be hidden. Together we can explore what's felt heavy, what's been buried and what might be ready to move. I am a qualified psychotherapist offering gentle, grounded support for adults navigating neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, trauma, and the often unspoken complexities of life.

Looking for a therapist can be a daunting experience, especially if things are tough for you right now, but you have taken the first step! I have experienced many times, both as a counsellor and personally in therapy, how people begin to feel less burdened and overwhelmed in their life when they feel really heard and accepted without judgement or criticism. I believe that the counselling relationship is a collaborative and dynamic process, and I am always receptive to feedback, as it can shape the dynamic between us. I feel that therapy can be proactive, and not just reactive. I have no expectations on what we speak about.

Hi I’m Simon, I support others through the challenges and difficulties that life can bring. I offer a safe space to be heard, free from judgment and expectations. You will be ready to start, or continue, the journey of discovering those unresolved issues in your life where you feel stuck. At times this may include working through challenges where you might feel anxious about change, our goal would be to address these areas. By working together our aim would be to create a therapeutic relationship that moves at a pace set by you, in order to address these areas in a way that feels safe to share what you choose to focus on in our sessions.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
