About
I am currently available for private work, having worked for thirty years in the NHS. I can help to resolve or manage many different mental health problems. However, with an existential training, I would most often view these as life-difficulties and work to understand how your struggles make sense within your unique life.
With a training in Existential Counselling, our work together would be about understanding you, in the way you respond to your unique life-difficulties. I am experienced in working to manage or resolve many mental health difficulties, but we would approach each of these problems as understandable responses to trauma, relationship conflict and uncertainty.
In my own life experience and professional career, I have found Existential Counselling to be an effective means of finding balance in living. It enables an unfolding of who you are, in an opening of your potential for growth and your ability to give meaning to your life. This kind of counselling is built on a hard won depth of understanding and awareness.
