I am a fully qualified and BACP registered psychotherapist working in Buckinghamshire and online. My therapeutic style is warm and relational, taking the whole person into account and inviting change through developing awareness of your self in its entirety - mind, body, emotions and spirit. Many of my clients come to me having had previous therapy which didn't feel like a great fit, or where it felt like some pieces of the puzzle were missing, and find that they are able to gain greater insight with a talking therapy that invites exploration of their whole self.

Therapy means different things to different people. For some, it's about changing a particular behaviour or learning to better manage emotions. For others, it's a space to unpack experiences and gain deeper understanding. Sometimes it's all of these—or something else entirely. My strength lies in helping clients explore, reflect and make sense of their inner world. I aim to create a space that’s safe, accepting, and non-directive, so we can work together to understand why you feel, think, or behave the way you do. Through insight, we can uncover new ways of relating to yourself and others, helping you move toward the life you want.

On the outside, you look calm and capable. Inside, you are running on empty, quietly carrying burnout, anxiety, and the pressure to hold it all together. You may have spent years adapting, coping, or masking, while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted underneath. I provide a warm, engaged, and collaborative space for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and repeating relationship patterns. My approach is deeply relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in understanding the nervous system, paying close attention to how stress and past experiences shape both your mind and body.

Are you facing change or loss that feels overwhelming? Life shifts in many ways; job changes, moving, relationships ending, health challenges, bereavement or retirement. Even chosen changes can bring stress and uncertainty. Everyone experiences these transitions differently. My role is to walk alongside you, listen deeply, and support you in finding a way forward at your own pace. My own experiences of profound loss, including child bereavement, allow me to bring empathy and hope as we explore the possibility of new beginnings.

Perhaps you are facing life changes or decisions and don't know which path to take.

Do you often hear yourself say "I can't do it anymore"? And yet you carry on... If you're an autistic professional in your 40s or beyond, decades of masking at work and at home may have led to burnout. You manage relentless demands: the meetings, the distractions, the performative socialising, the ever-present urgency. All that drains you. You wonder whether it will ever end. Resentment and frustration become harder to keep in...Sometimes you explode in tears or you stop speaking. What you crave is peaceful solitude to engage with your deep interests, be it code, research or another passion. But there's never time, never space.

I practise from a psychodynamic perspective which has its roots in psychoanalysis, the founding approach to talking therapy. This means I am interested in helping people to be curious about themselves, to understand why they might think, feel or behave in certain ways which are often unconscious, and to understand where these patterns might come from. This involves you and I building up a trusting relationship that would enable you to bring anything (thoughts feelings, fantasies), however unusual or nonsensical, you want to talk about with me.

What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
