Although an Accredited Counsellor the majority of my work is using CBT. I work in the NHS as a CBT therapist and teach on a CBT Masters Programme. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends CBT as the psychological treatment of choice for many presenting difficulties, including anxiety presentations and depression and I am EMDR trained.
I have a special interest in working with low self-esteem, post natal depression, enduring difficulties and relationship issues. I use compassion with my clients and together we set collaborative goals for the work. As a clinical supervisor I aim to encourage and empower both supervisees and clients.
