Saying “no” can bring guilt, decisions can feel paralysing and someone’s disappointment can leave you unsettled for days. Over time, this can leave you anxious, indecisive and disconnected from what you want.
These patterns often began as intelligent ways of keeping relationships safe. But what once protected you may now cost you confidence, clarity and vitality. You may feel responsible for others’ emotions, doubtful of your worth or frustrated that you can’t stop over-adapting.
