Life can feel overwhelming at times — whether you’re battling anxiety, struggling with relationships, carrying the weight of past trauma, or simply feeling stuck. You don’t have to face it alone. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can make sense of what’s happening, develop new ways of coping, and move towards lasting change. I’m an integrative psychotherapist, trained in psychodynamic, person-centred, and CBT approaches. Underpinning all my therapeutic work is the knowledge that it is ultimately the quality of the relationship between client and therapist - that's you and me - that heals.

Whatever brings you to therapy, whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other difficulty, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to share whatever you need. It is my belief that suffering, such as anxiety, depression, loneliness or shame, are expressions of our most painful experiences. That, in order to heal, those, often unconscious experiences need to be explored, processed and understood within the safety of a trusted therapeutic relationship. That is, my role is to help you to welcome your emotions, discover meanings, recognise relational and behavioural patterns and explore options.

Exploring the possibility of counselling/psychotherapy is a courageous step, one which can enable you to become more fully yourself. Therapy should be a place where you can feel safe and accepted, where you find it easier to share things that are concerning you. It can be a place where you come to find out more about yourself, to challenge yourself and make choices and decisions that lead towards a more positive and hopeful future. Sometimes there is something from our past, an event or an aspect of ourselves, that seems to be holding us back, and therapy can support us in addressing those things too. Be in touch for more info...

Hi, I'm Chris, I'm a bit of a nerd who is into books, gaming, movies and TV shows. Being a therapist isn't just my job, it's something I genuinely love doing because I am hugely curious about people. I realised I had a true interest in people while I traveled and met people from different walks of life, cultures and spiritualities. I spend a lot of my time trying to learn and understand things, whether it's a new game, philosophical concept or how something works. In my role as a therapist I'm getting to know and understand you so that we can figure out how best to support you through what it is you are experiencing.

Many of my clients come feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of who they are or where they’re going. They may be struggling in relationships, burdened by self-doubt, or carrying emotional wounds they’ve never been given space to explore. What they need most is not just advice or strategies but a genuine, non-judgemental relationship where they feel truly seen and safe to be themselves. What sets me apart is the deeply relational nature of my work. I offer a calm, compassionate presence where you're met with empathy, not analysis; curiosity, not criticism. Together, we make sense of what’s happening for you.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed and just don't know where to turn? Maybe you don't like yourself very much or feel that you don't have anything to offer. Would you like to be able to feel better about your decisions rather than always questioning yourself? Being able to talk to someone about how you're feeling can be a relief and can start to unlock what's going on inside to bring about change.

Because you're here, I imagine that things are feeling difficult. Something specific may be on your mind or it might be something more general; you may be overwhelmed with anxious thoughts, depression or a sense that something just isn't quite right. Perhaps you're struggling with relationships, or trying to deal with a loss or a trauma in your life. Patterns may keep repeating and you don't know how to change them. At times, we all need extra support; there are lots of reasons why people come in to counselling. I work in an Integrative way, to help you to unpick complex feelings you may have about yourself and the way you live now.

The experience of coming for therapy is an opportunity for you to discover for the first or subsequent time in life that you can let go of all the judgements, the fear and hesitation, and begin to talk about what is bothering you. We become wounded within a sense of connectedness - in families, relationships, friendships and society - and paradoxically it is within a sense of connectedness that we can begin to heal. Psychotherapy with me offers an experience of relatedness, which unfolds in a way that it facilitates a fundamental change in the personality, including how you experience, respond to- or make meaning of life.

Infidelity Counsellors

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
