You may be finding life tough, finding it hard to put your finger on what’s causing distress. General feelings of sadness and low self-esteem may be making it difficult to see who you truly are. Your sense of purpose may be ebbing, or indeed gone altogether. Instead, there may be a constant, nagging feeling of wishing things were different. But not knowing what that different looks or feels like. Whether or not it even exists. Do you feel your voice is being smothered by work pressures, or your personal aims are being crushed? The overwhelming anxiety that seems to dictate your every thought and move...

I truly believe that everyone deserves sound mental health, but sometimes life can provide so many challenges that you may end up feeling out of control, anxious or miserable, unsure which way to turn. You are welcome to talk through your experiences and feelings and be listened to in a non-judgemental, open, and empathetic manner. We will work together to develop an understanding of all you have been through and work on processing these experiences within yourself. I offer therapies for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, self-esteem or confidence problems, etc. in English and Hungarian.

I am particularly interested in the areas of confidence building and self esteem for young people in their early twenties and thirties; young people who have big goals but sometimes get stuck because of issues from the past, perhaps bullying or family issues. I also work with clients suffering from PTSD who wish to be free of the debilitating symptoms that this can cause for themselves and their families.

For some, this is in a therapy room and for others this can be outdoors. You choose the space to suit you. I focus on helping you to heal and re-energise. To become aware of personal strengths and also the barriers that may be holding you back. Together we work on how you can move forward with new knowledge and skills to live a more authentic and meaningful life going forward. To help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be.

Finding a therapist can be a daunting and overwhelming task. It can also be difficult to know what you are looking for. I believe that the most important aspect of any therapeutic work is the therapeutic relationship, as this is central to the work that I do. I am a trained Counselling Psychologist, with 15 years’ experience in the field of mental health. I have been a qualified counsellor for seven years and have experience of working therapeutically with a range of presenting difficulties some of which include childhood trauma, bereavement, psychosis, anxiety and psychological distress.

There's a first time for everything. Most newcomers to counselling & psychotherapy start out feeling a little intimidated by the idea of this rather mysterious process. I aim to demystify what I do - clients often comment on what they describe as a down-to-earth and accessible approach. My aim is ultimately to help you understand yourself and your behaviour. I feel that goal is best achieved by working in a non-threatening, straightforward and inclusive way.

Working as a Jungian Psychotherapist, Integrative Counsellor, healer and Reiki Master means I work holistically. Every aspect of you is included in therapy - mental, physical, emotional, and at the soul level. When we get in touch with unconscious motives and drivers, and how they manifest as behaviours, we are able to make different choices and to be more of our true selves. I have run my private practice for 11 years & am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Self Esteem Counsellors
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
