It is not at all unusual for any of us to experience a sense of anxiety or depression due to a life event that has caused us to feel “disconnected,” or simply “overwhelmed.” We might experience a bereavement or loss (a job, a relationship, a marriage); or issues may arise related to dating, getting married, or ageing and retirement. Alternatively, we might feel unable to be “ourselves,” or have the desire to nurture other aspects of our personality that seem underdeveloped: a lack of confidence to take risks and engage life, an ability to slow down, or an ability to be honest about our feelings with others. Psyhotherapy can help.

You're trying to make sense of who you are and how to be that person without guilt or overwhelm. Maybe you feel stuck between cultures, between expectations, or between who others need you to be and who you actually are. School or work pressure, identity questions, family dynamics, or unspoken shame might be weighing you down. You're tired of performing different versions of yourself depending on where you are. You want space to think, feel, and breathe; to stop overthinking and start trusting yourself.
You're not broken.
You're just exhausted from pretending, and you're ready to find your way back.

What if I told you that your anxiety, low mood, or self-doubt aren’t the real problem — but the result of a deeper, often overlooked root?
If you’ve tried managing stress, journaling, or even talking it out — yet still feel stuck in the same emotional loops — you’re not alone.
And more importantly: you don’t have to stay there.
As a Clinical Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist, I help people like you get to the core of what’s driving the anxiety, overthinking, and self-criticism — often rooted in hidden patterns around self-worth and unresolved emotional needs. Ready to feel more like yourself ? I'm here to help.

My Clients over the last 18 years have ranged from having simple symptoms ( i.e. sleep disturbances, anxiety about interviews or social anxiety ) to severe symptoms (i.e. severe depression, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, Borderline Personality or sexual abuse). My clients are looking for tools that will help them reduce or eliminate those symptoms but they are also wanting to develop long term functional habits that will help them lead a healthier life. Most of my clients are highly functional but they are struggling with emotional issues in their relationships with childhood abuse, addictions, fears, self-esteem and others.

Deep down, you might want more than just relief: you long to feel accepted, build healthier patterns, and reconnect with yourself and others.
My clients often seek both healing and growth — a safe space to let go of judgement and make room for confidence, connection, and joy.

At times, life can throw us curve balls, and although we've dealt with some of the most trying times, where we've managed to muddle through in the face of adversity, there are times in life where we start feeling stuck, anxious, low and unmotivated. Sometimes all we need is a sounding board to let out our frustrations when no-one else seems to understand and other-times we need help finding our answers on how to move forward. Whether its old patterns that keep repeating themselves or unexpected events which throw you off course, we all need a helping hand in our journey

Even though you are looking for a psychotherapist or coach who specialises in working with neurodivergent people, your identity may not be the central reason for seeking a therapist. You can arrive presenting with anything that is part of human experience or life. Yet, the importance of choosing an autistic psychotherapist is that there will be understanding of sensory and processing differences and many shared understanding. This means that wrong assumptions about how you ‘should be’ aren’t made, you won't be misread, and, consequently, the work will have meaning and usefulness for you. Adult individuals and couples are welcome.

You are the expert on yourself an only you can decide what might work for you. We will form a plan together, perhaps over the course of two to three sessions, of how we can proceed, and what we collaboratively believe is going on for you. You will find my practice is based on a humanistic, integrative, pluralistic blending of possibilities from several frameworks, including CBT, Gestalt, Compassion Focused Therapy, ideas from psychodynamic practice, with a person-centred, humanistic core.

Each person is unique and distinctive and therefore one approach may not fit them all. I place the client-therapist relationship at the heart of an effective therapeutic process providing an honest and non-judgmental stance where your feelings can be expressed and contained in a safe and confidential setting. You might want to make sense of the past and explore how it can sometimes be reconstructed in the present or you might seek to get back in touch with your real self through acceptance and a better mind-body connection.

I have over 10 years of experience, including as NHS senior clinician and university clinical supervisor.
If you've always been 'the clever one' but never quite fit in, I've got you. Maybe your life seems great, but you feel inadequate, so you prove yourself to not be 'found out'. Overwhelm, anxiety, intrusive thoughts; feeling stuck, not good enough; overplanning, procrastinating, checking, limiting yourself - you might have fear of failure disguised as high-functioning anxiety/OCD holding you back from being unapologetically yourself. My approach? Challenge what's unhelpful&honour your experiences and unique brain (instead of trying to fix it). So the authentic you comes out and dances. With that, a bit less noise, a bit more peace.
