I'm licensed in both individual and couples counselling.
Starting counselling can feel daunting, and it’s common to wonder whether your concerns are “serious enough". I believe that if something is affecting your well-being, it matters and deserves care. I offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and client-centred—I will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences and in finding ways forward that feel right for you. I use humanistic principles, which are integrative in nature, incorporating systemic and Gestalt modality concepts.

My Clients over the last 18 years have ranged from having simple symptoms ( i.e. sleep disturbances, anxiety about interviews or social anxiety ) to severe symptoms (i.e. severe depression, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, Borderline Personality or sexual abuse). My clients are looking for tools that will help them reduce or eliminate those symptoms but they are also wanting to develop long term functional habits that will help them lead a healthier life. Most of my clients are highly functional but they are struggling with emotional issues in their relationships with childhood abuse, addictions, fears, self-esteem and others.

I am one of a small number of practitioners in the UK who is dually qualified as a chartered psychologist and a clinical sexologist/sex therapist. My clients may seek help for a specific sexual difficulty such as desire or arousal concerns; or may experience broader distress such as anxiety, low self esteem or perfectionism which also manifests in their sexual and relational world. My specialist interest in sexual difficulties emerged naturally from my interdisciplinary background of psychology and physiology.

Couples sessions: 310 USD.
Knowing what to do and being able to do it are often two very different things. You may already know you should cut back on drinking, stop overthinking, let go of obsessive thoughts, sleep more consistently, or handle conflict differently, yet you keep finding yourself back in the same place. My work focuses on understanding why some behaviours and thoughts persist and helping you change them using practical, research-backed approaches. Alongside my private practice, I work at a Swiss inpatient rehabilitation clinic treating addictions and mental health conditions (OCD, panic attacks, ADHD).

Couple or individual counselling, either face to face or online can make such a difference, as we explore concerns and find effective ways forward.
Having worked as a Relate counsellor since 2013 and gained a Master’s Degree in Relationship Therapy, I have witnessed, on many occasions, the positive changes that counselling brings. As we work together, I will help you either as an individual, couple or family to begin to make sense of what is going on for you, and decide the best way forward.

I trained at the Tavistock Centre in family and couples therapy, and hold a Master Practitioner qualification in eating and food-related disorders.
I'm able to help most people who are navigating anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationship patterns that keep repeating, or the effects of trauma — wherever they're starting from, whatever their capacity looks like right now. My commitment is to work with you until we find what actually shifts things, drawing on evidence-based approaches — psychoanalytic, CBT, relational or existential — tailored to what you need rather than a fixed method. Together, we move from feeling stuck to understanding why, and from there, forward. Sessions online, in English, Latvian or Russian.

Offering adults therapy and psychological assessment in the centre of London and online. I think that every person’s therapy journey is different. Some people need skills and coping techniques to help deal with things in their current context. For others it is important to address the underlying psychological mechanisms that give rise to the problems or symptoms at different points in life. For some it is important to address childhood origins of problems so that they can break free of repeating, destructive life patterns. I want to help people find the journey that is right for them.

FAQ - Marriage Counselling
What issues does marriage counselling help with?
Marriage counselling can address common relationship concerns, including ongoing conflict, communication challenges, emotional distance, or difficulty making decisions together. It may also be helpful for couples who are not currently experiencing major problems but want to prepare for future life changes. For more specific concerns affecting one individual in the relationship, such as trauma, depression, or significant substance use concerns, individual therapy may be more appropriate than marriage counselling.

When is the right time to start marriage counselling?
There is no single “right” time to start marriage counselling, but certain signs may suggest that counselling could be helpful. For example, a couple may benefit from counselling if many conversations end in conflict, if negative interactions are becoming more frequent, or if relationship stress is affecting other areas of life, such as sleep, work, parenting, or friendships. Some couples also seek counselling proactively. Premarital counselling, for instance, allows couples to discuss communication styles, finances, family dynamics, and future goals before getting married. Other couples may start counselling before a major life change, such as becoming parents, relocating, or navigating a stressful career transition.

Is marriage counselling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Marriage counselling may still help even if one partner is more hesitant to attend, as long as both people are ultimately willing to participate in sessions. Once counselling is underway, the more hesitant partner may become more open to sessions that can strengthen the relationship and build coping skills and communication strategies. If one partner refuses to attend, individual therapy may still help the other partner understand their needs, set boundaries, and decide how to approach the relationship.

Is online marriage counselling as effective as in-person?
There are differing opinions on the best format for marriage counselling. While some studies show that online marriage counselling can be as effective as in-person counselling, some argue that in-person counselling is more effective because it allows the therapist to better pick up on context and body language cues. In addition, in-person counselling may be a better fit for couples who are working through high-conflict issues. Ultimately, the “best” format depends on the couple’s specific needs and concerns.

What is faith-based marriage counselling and how is it different?
Faith-based marriage counselling incorporates a couple’s religious or spiritual beliefs into counselling. It may be a good fit for couples who want to discuss their relationship, values, and marriage within the context of their faith. For example, Christian marriage counselling may appeal to couples who want a counsellor familiar with Christian beliefs about marriage. Other forms of faith-based counselling may incorporate Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or other religious perspectives into sessions.

How much does marriage counselling cost and is it covered by insurance?
Marriage counselling is usually paid for privately in Great Britain, rather than through the NHS, and sessions often cost around £60 to £120 or more. Fees depend on location, with costs generally higher in the London area, as well as counsellor experience, session length, and practice setting. However, lower-cost options may be available through sliding scale fees, which adjust the cost of counselling based on income, as well as through community clinics or non-profit organisations that offer reduced-cost services.
