I am white, working-class, neurodivergent, queer and ethically non-monogamous.
I am a person-centred counsellor, which means that I believe you know best what you need. I will offer you a safe place, support, and acceptance for you to explore your struggles. I believe that with non-judgemental care, people naturally move towards self improvement. Even if you're not entirely sure what's wrong or how to fix it, together we can explore it and, hopefully, find your path through it. I work one-on-one, both face-to-face and online. I offer as many sessions as you need, providing you with a place to explore your problems, without judgement.

My work is proudly LGBTQ+ friendly, and I welcome people of all backgrounds.
I believe there is no reason why we can't all live enjoyable, meaningful lives. Unfortunately, for reasons often out of our control, we can get blown off course. As a qualified Counselling Psychologist, I consider it a great privilege to work with people who are struggling with their emotional and mental health. I place the therapeutic relationship at the centre of my practice. Only when we feel safe is there room to grow.

Are you tired of doubting yourself and feeling like you're never quite enough? Do you find yourself caught in a cycle of overthinking, overachieving, and constantly questioning your worth? If this sounds like you, I'm here to help. The people I work with are often driven to succeed but held back by an inner voice that doubts, criticises, or shames. Underneath their accomplishments, they feel exhausted by perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-blame that keeps them stuck. Many suspect they are neurodivergent, or are starting to realise that growing up with emotionally immature parents has had a significant impact.

I believe everyone deserves the chance to explore their true potential, to work towards their aspirations, and to live a happy life, as free from pain and hurt as possible. We're all unique, with very different ways of experiencing the world, and with even more unique minds and internal worlds. This means we respond to things in totally different ways to how even the closest people to us do. My approach offers a confidential space where there's no judgment, somewhere to say the things you're not able to with others, and a place to gain a deeper insight into why you feel the way you do, and how to manage it.

Perhaps you are LGBTQIA+, still carrying the cost of years spent not quite fitting.
I work bilingually, in English and French, using Gottman-method couples therapy and neuroqueer-affirming individual work. Sessions are not about fixing you. They are about finding you. We move at your pace, in a safe space with everything you bring until the life you stopped allowing yourself to want starts to feel genuinely possible.

Feeling fed up in your relationships, stuck in the same cycles, or unsure where to turn? Life can easily start to feel like a constant struggle where you're just going through the motions. Therapy can help you feel more in control of your emotions and safely look beneath the surface. My approach focuses on the early patterns and childhood dynamics that keep you stuck today. Together, we’ll focus on what actually matters to you, helping you build self-respect, set firm boundaries, and stop settling for emotional breadcrumbs.

Whether you are navigating a loss in your life, struggling with addiction, or exploring your identity within the LGBTQIA+ community, I believe you already hold within yourself the resources needed for growth and healing.
There are many different types of therapy, and mine is called Person Centred Therapy. The main things that set this type of therapy apart are that I do not provide advice to you, I accept you truly as you are, and the content of each session is led by you, tailored to your needs.

Deciding to come to therapy, and choosing a therapist, is an incredibly big decision. Over the years, I have found that a lot of my clients have not always had the best experience with practitioners, and this can cause significant anxiety when deciding to access therapy again. Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time, or you have had therapy before, I respect the care and time that is needed to find the right person for you. It is important for you to feel safe and valued for you to explore what is happening in your life. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to learn a little more about me and my approach.

Sometimes life changes us in ways we don't fully understand. Many of the people I work with come to counselling after experiences that have left them feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected from themselves. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem or a significant life transition, I offer a warm, thoughtful space where we can make sense of your experiences together and gently reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have become difficult to reach.

That's why I'm here to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of criticism or shame.

Why do we feel like we do? Maybe anxious? Maybe depressed? Maybe self-critical? Maybe not able to interact with others as we'd like and feeling like our relationships could be better? Maybe just feeling like we could be living a happier more fulfilled and engaged life? The patterns of how we feel now have been laid down in our past. Our feelings and behaviours are all there for a reason - usually in ways that somehow protected earlier versions of ourselves. In therapy we can safely and kindly explore how you are feeling now, where your feelings have come from and how we can approach life differently.

LGBTQ+ Counsellors
Do LGBTQ-affirmative therapists receive special training?
Yes. Many therapists who practice LGBTQ-affirmative therapy have completed specialised training, either during their degree programme or as continuing education, to learn the core principles of affirmative therapy and how to best support their LGBTQ clients; some have received certifications in LGBTQ-affirmative therapy. Prospective clients should inquire as to a clinician’s background and training to ensure a good fit.

Why might I want to see an LGBTQ-affirming or LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
Queer and gender-non-conforming individuals frequently experience bias and marginalisation in day-to-day life. Working with a therapist who understands these unique challenges, as well as accepts and affirms their identity, can help LGBTQ clients feel safe and supported during therapy—allowing them to better navigate their relationships, mental health, and anything else that they wish to explore during therapy. It is important to note that many therapists can be effective in their work with LGBTQ+ individuals, even in the absence of specific training or background knowledge. The most important component in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client, and this alliance can exist between individuals with very different backgrounds.

How can I find an LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
You may wish to inquire about a therapist’s expertise with your specific challenges or concerns—depression, for example, or relationship strife—as well as their past experiences treating LGBTQ+ clients. Prospective clients may also ask whether a therapist has obtained additional training and/or certification in LGBTQ-affirmative techniques.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with LGBTQ issues?
Prospective clients should feel empowered to directly ask therapists whether they have received training or been certified in LGBTQ-affirming therapy; competent therapists will be happy to explain their educational background and preferred approach(es) to help a client find the best match for them. Clients may also wish to ask how a therapist has treated clients with their particular challenges in the past and what they expect treatment to look like.

Are all the therapists listed in the LGBTQ directory themselves members of the LGBTQ community?
While therapists may choose to disclose their sexual orientation or gender identity in their profiles, the LGBTQ directory features not only those who have shared this information but also those who assert specialised training or experience in providing support to queer individuals, couples or families.
