I help ADHD adults, teens, and children (11+) to discover relief from overwhelm, ease from anxiety, and courage to be true to themselves, for greater fulfilment in life and relationships. Perhaps you have a sense you struggle more than others, which can leave you feeling ashamed and unsure of yourself. With an unruly mind and relentless anxiety, you can feel held back from what’s important to you in life and relationships. Some part of you knows there's a happier more fulfilled 'you' desperate to get out. I offer a nurturing and empowering space, where we'll discover who you are with more clarity, ease, and trust in yourself.

My approach is relational, mindful, and embodied. I draw on a range of therapeutic theory, and my training is trauma-informed. It’s based on the belief that beneath our suffering, there is an inherent freedom and completeness within all of us. A wisdom that knows how to move through difficulty. Layers of conditioning, personality defences and emotional wounds can obscure this innate wellbeing and make it difficult to see a way forward. Core Process Psychotherapy brings awareness to these layers, allowing insight and transformation to emerge naturally. I offer a warm and non-judgmental space to be fully received, exactly as you are.

It can be hard to live in this world sometimes. Early experiences, uncertainty, loss, rejection, trauma, oppression and inequality can impact us in ways that are both subtle and obvious. Family dynamics and relationships with friends, partners and colleagues can be complex. Therapy can offer a transformative space where experiences can be understood, where difficult and painful feelings can be explored, and where new ways of doing and being can be discovered. I am an integrative therapist, and aim to offer a non-judgemental, calm, collaborative, compassionate and safe therapeutic space.

I love supporting people to grow and heal, to access the resilience needed to face future challenges, so I am no longer needed. You may need to make sense of a difficult past, manage problems in the present or explore fears about the world we live in. You may take time to feel safe to speak about deep feelings. Perhaps you experience blocks to contentment or have a powerful critical voice that undermines your best efforts, preventing you from thriving. It can be useful to try to be curious, to notice and name thoughts and feelings as they arise, I will engage with care and without judgment, helping you to do the same.

I am an interactive, friendly, experienced therapist with a particular interest in working with people creating their lives outside their comfort zone, or away from social norms. Many are facing new challenges - from realising they are neurodivergent, to surviving a fertility journey or exploring non-monogamy. I am late-diagnosed ADHD myself so have a personal drive to support others figuring this out.

Therapy can give us a place to really unmask, unburden and gain some new perspectives. I work collaboratively, so we’ll talk about what helps you and what doesn’t and what you need from therapy - this is different for everyone and is something we can figure out as we go along too. I primarily use a person-centred approach, offering an authentic, warm, non-judgemental relationship in which you can explore what you’re struggling with. I find that neurodivergent people in particular tend to appreciate the more egalitarian nature of this approach, as do many others who have experienced the impact of social inequalities in their lives.

You don’t need to be falling apart to talk. You just need to admit something doesn’t feel right. Maybe you’re stressed, stuck in your head, angry, or feeling low. I work with men and teenage boys who are done bottling it up. Whether it's break-ups, fatherhood, race, identity, or just feeling lost, we talk it through—no judgement, no fluff. Just real, straight-talking therapy that helps you understand what’s going on and gives you tools to deal with it. You don’t have to do it alone.

"There is a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in" (Leonard Cohen). I love this. We all have problems, things we don't like about ourselves, things we struggle with over and over. It's part of being human, none of us are completely 'sorted'. But sometimes we feel overwhelmed, desperate, alone.... the cracks are too big, the light isn't getting in. Or we feel stuck, frustrated, exhausted, going round in circles, nothing will ever change. Perhaps you feel you can't be the real you. Maybe you feel like this a lot, or maybe it's new for you and your usual coping/support isn't working. Maybe you don't know what's wrong.

Maybe you’ve worked hard to stay strong and independent — keeping things together, staying in control, not needing too much from anyone. But underneath, there’s a part of you that still longs for connection, to be seen and wanted. Maybe you replay conversations in your head, second-guess yourself, or feel stuck with a constant sense that you’re not good enough — even if no one else sees it. Maybe there are days when everything feels heavy, and you're not even sure what you're reaching for anymore.

My practice is non-pathologising, trauma informed, collaborative and creative. I consciously create a containing and non-judgemental space for the people I work with, building trust over time. I believe that safety in the therapeutic relationship is paramount in allowing someone to begin unravelling, processing and embracing all parts of themselves. There is limited space in our world where others can sit alongside us in a meaningful way, so I aim to do this for my clients. I commit to being alongside in the discomfort, complexity and messiness of existence while marking moments of connection and sparks of joy.

Bisexual Counsellors
What is bisexual-affirming therapy?
Bisexual-affirming therapy is a type of mental health support that fully affirms and reflects a client’s bisexual identity. It is rooted in acceptance and does not attempt to change or question an individual’s orientation. In this type of therapy, clients work with a therapist who understands the unique experiences of bisexual people. This support is especially important, as research shows that bisexual individuals face higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation compared to other groups. Bisexual-affirming therapy acknowledges that bisexual individuals may encounter specific stressors—such as invalidation, relationship challenges, and minority stress—that require specialised understanding and intervention. Many therapists also provide couples therapy for bisexual partners, helping them navigate relationship dynamics, communication challenges, or external stressors that may impact their relationship. While not required, some clients prefer working with bisexual therapists who may bring personal insight to the therapeutic relationship. However, a non-bisexual therapist with strong training and a genuine commitment to affirmation can be equally effective. The most important factor is finding a therapist who understands how identity impacts mental health and can create a space of trust and respect.

What can a bisexual therapist help with?
Bisexual-affirming therapists can provide support across a wide range of concerns relevant to bisexual individuals. Whether through personal or professional experience, they often have specialised knowledge in areas such as the coming out process, navigating stereotypes, and dealing with common stressors. Relationship support is another key area of focus, as bisexual clients may face unique challenge when dating or maintaining relationships across genders. Affirming therapists can also help clients build coping strategies for managing discrimination or stigma. Additionally, many bisexual-affirming therapists can connect clients to other providers or community-based resources—such as bisexual support groups or LGBTQ+ organisations—that offer additional affirming spaces for connection. It's important to note that therapists provide can talk therapy and counseling services but do not prescribe medication—if medication is needed for conditions like depression or anxiety, they will coordinate care with a psychiatrist or primary care physician who can provide psychiatric medication management alongside therapeutic support.

How do I find a bisexual therapist?
The Psychology Today online directory is a helpful tool for finding bisexual-affirming therapists. You can use search filters to identify therapists who specialise in LGBTQ+ care and work specifically with bisexual clients. You can also filter by clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, accepted insurance, session costs, and languages spoken to find the right fit. During initial consultations or early sessions, ask potential therapists about their specific training in bisexual-affirming care, their experience with LGBTQ+ clients, and their therapeutic approach to identity-related concerns. An effective bisexual-affirming therapist will demonstrate genuine understanding of bisexual experiences, including awareness of the unique challenges facing bisexual individuals. You can also look for credentials or continuing education in areas such as LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma-informed care, and intersectionality.
