I am a practitioner psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in the independent sector. I offer psychological interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches. My specialist area of interest and skill set is working with people who have experienced trauma, which is the centre of my day to day work. In addition to offering private therapy, I am also the lead psychologist for an independent hospital which offers assessment and treatment for women and gender diverse individuals with complex mental health needs.
I have experience of working with individuals with attachment difficulties, PTSD (inc. complex), dissociative disorders (inc. DID) and comorbid eating disorders. My main therapeutic models include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and EMDR.
I understand it can feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking to come to therapy and therefore, developing trust within our therapeutic relationship is at the centre of my work. My initial aim is to support my clients to feel as comfortable and as safe as possible, allowing us to explore and identify achievable therapeutic goals together.
