Hello, thank you for taking a moment to read through my profile. As a therapist I focus on nurturing a strong therapeutic relationship as well as emphasising the collaborative nature of therapy with my clients. I aim to help individuals to understand and overcome difficulties they may be facing and support them with identifying and developing their strengths to help move towards meaningful, lasting change.
I am currently in my third and final year of a doctorate in counselling psychology and I have worked alongside young people, families and adults for over fifteen years in mental health services, schools and community-based settings.
I am trained in traditional talking therapies, including person-centred and cognitive behavioural approaches, as well as the use of play and creative therapeutic methods to engage with experiences and emotions that may be difficult to verbalise.
