Hello, my name is Emma and I believe in creating a safe and supportive space for you to talk and share your experiences. Clients can be self- funding, or funded via WPA, Cigna, Bupa, Healix or Aviva. I can usually offer appointments within a week. I support people facing stress, anxiety, low mood, eating disorders, (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder), anger problems, trauma, illness, life changes, bereavement, addiction, abuse, family problems among many more. I have 15 years experience working in the mental health sector and am trained to Doctorate level (Counselling Psychology) and have further training in EMDR.
I work with young people aged 10+ and adults. I offer both short and long term therapy and am trained in a variety of approaches so that I can adapt my practice to you and your goals. In my practice I aim to empower you to build your understanding of yourself, develop new coping strategies, build your sense of self compassion and overcome your difficulties.
I value and respect the courage it can take to begin therapy and believe in providing a kind and non-judgmental atmosphere where you will feel listened to and well supported. I help clients to understand the root cause of their difficulties. I also offer supervision to qualified and trainee therapists.
