My approach is shaped by over 15 years’ experience working with individuals and couples.
I help people understand who they are, what they want, and what may be getting in the way. For some, that means slowing things down enough to really feel what is there, so their needs can come into clearer focus. For others, it is about having a space where they can hear themselves speak and process, without being judged or made wrong.
Often, the work is also about recognising the inner resources that are already there, and building what is needed to feel more steady, more connected, and more able to respond to life as it is.
My training is in Humanistic and Somatic Therapy. This means that as well as talking things through, we might pay attention to what you are feeling in the moment - emotionally and physically. This often brings a different kind of clarity and helps shift patterns that talking alone doesn’t always reach. I combine this with IFS (Internal Family Systems).
My main approach is Internal Family Systems, and my main modality for couples is IFIO (IFS couple's therapy). This means we will explore the different parts of you, such as your beliefs, behaviours and emotions in order to build understanding, self compassion and a toolbox you can work with in between sessions to resource yourself.
